Hello everyone!
After being a headphone enthusiast for many years, primarily focused on open back headphones, I'm looking for some thoughts on "legendary" closed back headphones.
Example:
My current shopping list and current collection currently includes:
AKG K1000, Stax Lambda Anything, Sennheiser HD800, Jecklin Floats and the Stax Sigma Pro
It's a list of what I consider to be good or at least very well known/unique headphones from the ears and eyes of a head-fi man. Sadly and maybe weirdly, I rarely get the chance to check out closed back headphones. other than the older Denon AHD series (2000, 5000, 7000) and the Audeze LCD2 and LCDX closed back variants, I don't really know much about closed backs.
So! What would be your variant of my list when focused on closed backs? It's of course a lot about preference, but ignoring personal preference; what are generally well known legends in this world (discontinued or in production) ? Both well known for sounding great and well known for being quirky/unique are welcome!
