Great review ! Any clue how they compare to the Miracle ? The SE 5-way ? Thanks

Thanks!

I haven't heard the Spiral Ear so I can't comment on that. It's been a while since I heard the Miracle but from memory it is somewhat similar to the LCM-5. Definitely in the same general ballpark in terms of sound signature. Again, from memory, the Miracle may have slightly more prominent sub-bass impact, while the LCM-5 has faster and more transparent upper mids and highs.

Both are really good.

The 5-way and LCM-5 are very different in both sound signature and technical ability.  The LCM-5 is quite neutral, and while the 5-way is also neutral, they are a different neutral.  The bass on the 5-way is much more capable and conveys a sense of power the LCM-5 doesn't even though the LCM-5 has a good amount of bass.  The midrange of the 5-way is a bit more detailed even though it can sound thicker, depending on the track and the 5-way treble is more extended.  The presentation changes depending on the way the track was recorded with the 5-way while the presentation is fairly set with the LCM-5.  I am working on my LCM-5 review but wasn't planning on comparing the 5-way since it is twice the price.

Has anyone tried their Chihuahua IEM cable? It looks like a pretty nice cable. Site says it's a silver-plated copper cable. I think I enjoy the aesthetics from the 3 pictures they have up. I think the price is like $100 including shipping.

I've been considering getting an aftermarket cable for my JH5s.

No u have not but if its similar quality to the adapter I have for my LCM-5 it'll be good.
Also there new amp I great. I started a thread, there is a link in my thread. It has two different outputs that have different OP amps.

I got my LCM-5s a bit more than a week ago and I'm very happy with them - they're very impressive; their clarity and detailing levels are something very special, I've never experienced such a high level of both of them.
Here's my unboxing video of the LCM-5s:

Thanks for the video - well done. I agree the LCM-5 is special due to its clarity.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad that you've enjoyed it. I'll also write a review about them (hopefully I'll finish it before the month's end). What's even more impressive is the additional clarity with the "Monitor Sound Adapter" - LEAR did a great job with this adapter too.

Send my ear impressions today :) If three bores will fit in my tiny ears(Jhaudiio made it with JH16, but it was problematic) I will be enjoing Lcm-5 by end of may :)

My ears are quite tiny and they didn't have any problems making my LCM-5s - you can see photos of them in my review (link in my signature).

Really awesome review.... Makes me more inclined to get a Lear IEM too.... But project, although I'm not really going for the Lear-5, I'm more interested between the new 4 driver universal, or the Lear 3s! Do you think the Lears would sound better than the 1964 V3 or Alclair Reference? Also how would you compare your Lear-2B to the JH5? It's either the Lear 3/4 or JH5 now for me

Well, it's tough because I haven't heard the JH5, nor the other Lear models besides the LCM-2B and LCM-5. The Lear LCM-5 is definitely better than the 1964 V3, as it should be for a significantly higher priced model.

Any chance you might be able to score some demo units from Lear? Maybe a deposit would be required, but it would be worth it to give them a test drive.
