I've tube rolled more than I even wanted to with the Pacific. I can't even imagine adding adapters and going further down the rabbit hole lol.. but maybe some day in the far future.

I ended up using C3G’s in the Pacific, that was a win for me, I wasn’t a fan of the postal tubes that are currently popular, and ended up going back to KR242’s, so it’s not like adapters are a panacea. As you will. Being open to using an adapter, even the inexpensive Chinese made ones on eBay, opens a realm of really good tubes.
I don’t have much experience with these tubes as my TRP is setup for 6.3V octals but here is a short list of other 12V tubes with the same base as the 12BH7 that you can use to search for direct comments of others on the forum.Could someone pleas advice me on the best 12au7/12bh7/ecc40 or other equivalents that can be used on my Baltic 4 to get the best bas response without sacrificing the top extension.
I recommend the Telefunken G73-R red label.Could someone pleas advice me on the best 12au7/12bh7/ecc40 or other equivalents that can be used on my Baltic 4 to get the best bas response without sacrificing the top extension. I have some new production 12bh7, just a standard tube wich the Baltic was delivered with and they really give a strong and good bas but they are lacking other quality.
Grateful for your advice, specially if someone has played around with a lot of nos 12bh7.
It's a mine field. Lot's of 12au7 out there. The early and mid 1950's Mullard, Amperex and Valvo are highly regarded, but also very collectable so $'s.Could someone pleas advice me on the best 12au7/12bh7/ecc40 or other equivalents that can be used on my Baltic 4 to get the best bas response without sacrificing the top extension. Poseidon is so goooood. I remember when I was starting to look into lampizator and was talking with Rob, he mentioned that the Atlantic is aimed for tube rollers so if that's up your alley go for it, if not, I would keep the Baltic. Just my two cents.Wow! I had the opportunity to try a Poseidon in my system at home today and I am completely amazed and stunned by how good it is, it’s insane!!! Unfortunately, it is a bit out of reach, so I am wondering if it’s worth upgrading my Baltic 4 to an Atlantic 3 TRP? Do you think the Atlantic will be seeing an upgrade soon?

I’ve bin tube rolling the Baltic for a while now with tp adapters and all, spending lots of money trying to make it something it’s not. :/ then connecting the Poseidon with stock tubes and it is sooo much more!Poseidon is so goooood. That's the right attitude. I see quite a few folks tube rolling trying to turn their piece of gear into something it isn't. Just imo, but you must like your piece of gear with the cheapest tubes. Everything else is then just a bonus on top of what you already have.I’ve bin tube rolling the Baltic for a while now with tp adapters and all, spending lots of money trying to make it something it’s not. :/ then connecting the Poseidon with stock tubes and it is sooo much more!
I’m not interested in the tube rolling per say, just want to take the sound quality to the next level.
