Andy Palmquist is a hearing aid dealer, any one can attend an "AudiologyNow" conference.

As a hearing aid dispenser, Palmquist says that he tries to give his contacts at the factory input  .......

This from Lloyds Website:

Dear Friend,

I would like to let you in on two secret facts the rest of the hearing aid industry was hoping you would never discover.

*Fact #1: The overall user satisfaction rate of people purchasing hearing aids from regular dealer offices and audiology clinics is only 58%. Not really very good.

While it is probably true, that the Marke Track IV study found that 58% satisfaction was the case (their web site quotes the study & I can not find the study it is too old)
Lloyds also fails to mention that since the Mark Track IV study was made, technology has changed & education requirements (for audiologists) have changed.
The requirements to become an audiologist have moved from a Masters degree to a Doctorate degree. The requirements to be a hearing aid dispenser are still less stringent than requirements to become a tatoo artist.

Lloyds conveniently failed to mention a more recent study; the Marke Track VIII finds.

Customer satisfaction with hearing aids for the total hearing aid owner population increased by 6% points to 74% over 2004.

Sorry folks, as an audiologist I feel compelled to set the facts straight.

When will you get your CIEMs back.... well that is a secret.....

Wouldn't it be just as simple as hiring a few more people ? I mean if you have the business ?

The trouble is training.  Building a CIEM seems fairly simple, and technically it is. The challeng is not can it be done, the challenge is can it be done to a very high degree of perfection...  and it is a tough challenge!

Good luck with your jh16's! I'm so jealous of you and your nice iems. If they turn out good, I'm considering getting a used pair and having em reshelled since I just don't have the money for $1000 headphones..

Also, just wondering, does kozee offer a service of adding drivers for reshells? Im pretty sure fisher doesn't and um is just too far away for me to gothat route.

Thank you my friend! As per the addition of drivers, you'd have to call in and ask Adam personally. As of late, he's been much easier to at least get a hold off over the phone.

While I've no gripes with the build/fit, the balance seems to be shifted ever so slightly towards the right versus the left. It becomes most obvious with any track where there are vocals, which sound more full and slightly shifted to the right channel. I know it's bnot my ears since my EX1000's sound completely balanced with the same tracks. Guess I've got no choice; there goes another 3 months...

Oh wow, I'd be furious, you have lots of patience lol.

Any sonic differences you happen to notice between your JH16 and your EX1000? Might as well post your (preliminary/first) impressions on the EX1000 thread, no matter how favaourable / unfavourablee they may be.

Too early to say my friend. I'll give myself a week before I make any final judgement. As immaculate as I find the EX1000's sound, it'll be difficult to replace for these ears, be it Jh16's or not. I'll know in a few days time.

@music_4321: I'll post up initial impressions as soon as I can get to it my friend.

No rush, but I always find fresh 'out of the box' impressions very interesting. Post whatever seems right to you in your own time. Glad all seems to have worked out for you in the end.
