I just use EQ to add bass to the 95X, works great

Removed my ESP/950 pads for the nth time to replace the black foam, which I had to rip out when I opened the cups to add some damping material. Good opportunity for sharing a picture of the ear-side dust cover. This is the very light thin foam I used in case others need it, it took some time to find the right one. Double sided tape in the pic is mine of course, original foam is glued to the baffle.

Kinda quiet here lately

The 95X sounds great out of my Blue Hawaii I got a couple weeks ago, I read some peoples crackle when paired with high powered amps but mine sounds great. Takes EQ well.

I'm getting ready for a meetup and brought mine with a Stax adapter. Once you hear the 95X on a Stax amp you will be like "holy crap where did all this bass come from?".

The Koss amp has a hard drop of all frequencies below 200 hz

I find that it already has decent bass, but theyre definitely not closed back bass canons :P
But im just going to sell mine. Although i do have a buddy that recently got a hivex with a nice stax energizer... Tempting

Can you provide a link for the adapter, please?

New ESP950 and E/90 experiment, rechargeable 1.5 volt lithium batteries. I purchased several ebl 1.5 volt aa batteries and aa to c adapters. So far they work great and I will let everyone know how long they last until needing recharged. They charge very fast, about 2 hours and they recharge with usb cables.

Follow up on the above experiment:

Ran for about 4 hours, not bad. If i remember correctly when used with alkaline batteries that I got about five or six hours at most.
EBL suggests that the batteries improve after about three or four charges, and we shall see.

After recharging, the second run lasted over 7 hours, and that was only running until the red light blinked with the green one. Not bad.

Hey there ^_^
Listening to my 950 about 3-10 hours a day, almost a year now, so far so good >_<
At first i ordered angled hybrid pads from Vesper Audio, but they was somewhat strange sounding to me, lost that "e'staticness"
And as i listened more and more it began being so obvious that i needed DIY pads exactly how i want them, and i did xD

So, first attempt was horrible, but second appeared so good that i completely enjoy them to this day, all the Frequency response graph's will be there, and as comparison will be Perun Live Sound, they're slightly varies. What's impress all ppls that hear them is bass, they're thought there wouldn't be any, but bass there, an' it's pretty ;3
If 950 more about "speed" and "meanderness" - Perun's on other hand more into real instrumentals an' some metal without electronics in arrangement :3

Pairing up them with Chord Mojo, first gen, when i first heard this duo i was completely blown away, and continue blowing even after half a year with it, really recommend it, first generation gives even more "sonic" experience even with stock energizer *-*

I would say going from E-MU 0404, Antelope Zen GO, Topping dx3 pro+, S-Audio FOCUS v.2, or some prtbl players like DX220, SP1000, qa361 to Chord Mojo is like going from Beyerdynamic 770 straight to some good "fast'ish" planars, like Snorry Si-6, Hifiman Sundara/Ananda (except Nano*)/X v2 :D Literally

Someone told here about narrowness of stage and such, the thing is unlike other tech, like iso, rubber or ATM even, impulse response "tail" of estats usually appears drastically shorter. Irl there is no such shortage, and it's exactly why on most of modern songs our brain perceive them "flat" and "narrow" :smirk:
But it's again just because of lesser decay time, if some song was made with many real world resonances, distortions and such this exact song will be perceiving in much more pleasant way than others ^_^
Like Yosi Horikawa for example, this man know his crap, on 950 his works sounding fantastic :3
In comparison of "stage" isodynamics and such will sound "more natural" than estats, but it's due their more resonant nature, it's just another way around, both tech have their pros an' cons i would say 9_9
Estats more about surgically accurate reproduction, other tech about "musicality" :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Sorry for such big piece of mind, i hope at least something from that will be helpful to someone :)
Have a nice day guys and non-guys, and listen to GooD music <3<3<3
