PR3 continues to impress, bass is solid, weighty and nicely textured and treble clean, airy and detailed. Mids not recessed either. This track is a good example:

All this talk about graphs makes me think of this song:

Inchworm, inchworm
Measuring the marigolds
You and your arithmetic
You'll probably go far

Inchworm, inchworm
Measuring the marigolds
Seems to me you'd stop and see
How beautiful they are

I had my DAP on shuffle and this came up. Sounds amazing on AS16 Pro/30 ohm:

Hello. Can you tell me please, how loud are you listening to as16pro using Hidisz dap? Without any additional resistance. I listen to mine at around 25, low gain. Always qiestioning myself is it loud or its safe to listen at this level.

I have been using my Xduoo X20 with a 30 Ohm adaptor, I will try the AP80 Pro X tomorrow.

Try to get the other colour. They still sound exactly the same lol.

I received my PR3 and have no sibilance with foam tips.

The PR3 sound is almost the same as the PR2 v2, I would wonder if you can detect the difference in a blind test.
Maybe the sensitivity difference (volume) is a little noticeable, I tested with left PR2 and right PR3 ...
I find PR3 to have a more airy sound with less bass emphasis.

I own two pairs of PR2, and they sound too bassy and smooth to me. I couldn't believe there was so much difference compared to other people's opinions (that's why I purchased another pair of PR2 :frowning2: )

I couldn't find any flaws in PR3, except that the timbre wasn't entirely natural and its sensitivity was somewhat low. Here is one track that is exceptionally difficult to deliver, but PR3 managed to render the best of it.

late to the party and just wanted to share quick impressions on pr2 that came recently, bought on 11.11 sale. i guess this is a later version without damping or what not. i'm amazed by this iem's performance listening through a good, powerful source. the scene is clear like a calm lake. resolution is high. strong sense of realism and transparency. it comes off neutral-bright due to excellent treble extension. tonality not too dissimilar from s12. much different from dark, bassy pr1 bal. there could be more bass quantity and lower reach on pr2, but on flipside bass quality is high and it doesn't bleed at all into lower mids. mids are open and resolving. timbre is really not as bad as has been pointed out. it doesn't have creamy vocals of well tuned dd/ba drivers, yet vocal clarity is great. soundstage could be deeper and wider, imaging could be a tad more accurate. i don't hear any shoutiness or harshness, high mids are under control and note ends are smooth. planar iems are generally known for good technicalities, yet are a bitch to tune. i think kz did an admirable job here, pr2 is very listenable across genres without eq. with it's affordable price tag, i'm presently convinced pr2 is the best price-to-performance, pound-for-pound iem i've heard. i'm naturally drawn to pr3 now and looking forward to more comparison impressions between the two!

Speaking of impedance adapters, it seems that PR2 v2 was tested with an impedance adapter and it gave interesting results (for a single driver iem), presumably due to the electronic filtering. If it also works like that in PR3, it seems getting a 10-20 ohm impedance adapter could be a good way to attenuate the treble if someone finds it too harsh. Sure, one could EQ, but then you gotta EQ on all devices with possibly different OS, different software, an adapter like this could simply be more convenient. I know there are cheap 15 Ohm ones on Ali, so I may try if I find the highs too annoying.

Had a little time to spare. I find volume level of 35 perfect for me with the AS16 Pro/AP80 Pro X (without adaptor). I tend to listen a little louder but always protect my ears!

Here is PCB board from PR2. It has very tiny resistors (one is zero) and few capacitors. I'm not complete sure but I draw connections between elements using multimeter and magnifying glass.

The PR3 is already quite power hungry, adding an impedance adaptor will require quite a bit of power. I will try that, though.

I just got the Technics AZ80. Besides being a little quiet on some songs, they sound great! But I would prefer a wired to have more control and using a Qudelix 5K. Any recommendations in the KZ line of similar capabilities? ANC not necessary. Thx!
