judging by the naming standard
i'd say the 530 is number 5 in a series, with 3 drivers, the zero, i think will stand for revisions or changes=530
same for the 420, series 4, 2 drivers, revision 0
310 210 so on

Greetings Audiophiles,I think the Shure ES530s are BEST for ROCK /and the Westone 3s are more all round type Jazz sounds awesome and R&B.The EU Tripple fis also a excellent choice for all round but $$ =?.It Boils down to preference they are all great in there own way.!!MY choice will have to be the SHURE ES-530s with 2 years warranty. Enjoy and don't stop the MUSIC.!!!!
