I will send a photo when I get my phones back from John Massaria who is performing Mark 2 mods. The headband cover is not perfect--it is slightly loose but close enough and does seem to cut down on headband microphonics. The biggest offender in microphonics was the stock cable which I replaced with a nice Forza Audioworks braided UPOCC copper cable, which along with the headband cover, eliminated the problem.

Thank you for your reply. I too have replaced with a 4.4mm balanced cable, just an inexpensive one but works well and have completely removed the microphonics...

Those are my Rognirs. I haven't yet gotten my hands on them myself.

I know for sure that the pads aren't perforated. I ordered 2 sets of pads: stock and deeper ones in a different color leather. The picture is very dark, so it's hard to say for sure, but it looks like Amir tested with the custom pads on.

What tuning did you get ? If you don’t mind where did you purchase this pair from ?

Which are the default pads on the HP-1 ? ECL-01?
I find the HP-1 already have enough bass stock to my taste (not a huge fan of big bass, I like better tight and well controlled bass).

So you prefer the full leather earpads over the ones with the suede ring? Is it because of the different foam used in these earpads? Does the suede ring affect the sound in any way?
