Actually, at first I was hestitate about Odin, knowing that I have an Omni ordered. But since my Omni is an limited (exotic wood - Purple Heart - to answer your other question) edition, I consider it more as a collector item. So maybe I could justified having both even though it ended up too similar to the Odin (which I don't think they will be that similar anyway, based on all the experiences I have with T50RP mods, including TH500RP -- but I could turn out to be very wrong).

Not really similarNot really comparable.

Odin loses about 5db from 40 to 30 and only continues to drop!

Not exactly, compared to 1 KHz = 0 dB (repository, yellow line)
50 Hz to 0 dB
40 Hz to -0.8 dB
30 Hz to -3.1 dB (nb: differential between 40 and 30 Hz = 2.3 dB (and not 5 dB))
20 Hz to -5.8 dB

Those are not Omni measurements and based on what you describe thw sound sig is comparable

Yes and not ; not exactly comparable (or similar) FR

ZMF OMNI (Frequency Response)

K. Odin (Frequency Response)

Otherwise ; the FR does not show the coloring,  the dynamics and the force of impact of these two headphones.

Ear pads made by Kennerton, of brown color ; yes, for your modified Dharma D1000 ; but it is not the actual ear pads of the K. Odin headphone that are specific to this headphone with multiple pinholes on part of the perimeter of the ear pads which  allow a optimum adaptation of acoustic impedance (anterior chamber) for the driver and also a better ventilation of the ear (which has less hot with this type of ear pads).

According P. Paya, the ear pads without pinholes, after test, are unsuitable for the K. Odin.
Quote (original post in the french forum): "And what was said by the person which you have translated the text, Eric, can be determined easily by changing the pads. What I did with the "basic" pads that I have tried. They do not have pinholes and they alter greatly the precision of Odin in his ability to present the soundstage."

Okay @eric65 you're right my pads have not the tiny holes. But they add some nice bass improvement to my D1000.

Well I guess I will forget about this headphone. I was told it will be available for purchase by now and it still isn't. I bought a tube amp instead. Looks like no Americans I know will have this phone. I will check back at the end of this month but I have funds dedicated elsewhere so prob won't happen.
