I tried it like this in the past due to lack of funds

laptop > usb > Rsa predator dac+amp > k702 w moon audio black dragon cable

And that was the outcome my ears heard =/
and yes, predator with high gain.

oh well, its all in the past, and i learnt that the k70x really need alot of juice

when i brought in the dacmagic and the imAmp.. problem solved and i began to love the k70x exponentially

. Well I prefer the HD650 over the K701 now that I have the CKKIII. Until I got that amp, I wasn't enjoying the Senns as much as the K701. I need to get my act together and get/build a better amp!

Between the HD650/DT880/K70x my preferences were

HD650

I haven't tried the Beyer but unless the sound sig is a dramatic improvement above what the 70x does well, I'm having a tough time finding a headphone I like better.

I really want to wait for AKG to come out with a new flagship before I spend the money you've invested in the T1 and the 800. For now, my 701/2 will keep me happy.

My ALO K702's are that good. They're right there in performance compared with all the cans that I currently have. Right there expressing themselves in their own nice way.

I have never listened to a K701, but one day I hope to listen to it, listen to all the flaws and extra details I have been missing in the music I listen to

It would be a great spare can for me (listen to metal, forgive me).

Although I hated my previous k701,I don't think you can find another can in the same price that have this amount of details.the k701 is extremly detailed.

My DAC/Amp with power supply is $2150.

A great investment I've found. The K702's are more than worthy to be used with my Ultra Desktop Amp!!
