Try the RX700. Great sound for a super cheap price, mod friendly (felt mod - everyone should be able to do it), pair it with a cheap amp (FiiO E7) and it will sound even better. I listen to classical sometimes and RX700 sounds great for it.

They were my first pair of good cans, they lasted for a long time...and i loved them.

Im considering on getting them for a gift.

I own them (RX700's) and they are one of the best bang for the buck headphones i ever used.

I own both ( HARX900 & XB700). My XB700 are new. I modded the X900 and they do have some serious bass but the mids and treble were so wrong to my ears...I gave them to my son...they have hundreds of hours.

Straight from the box, the Sony sounds impressive for $80. Nothing was "wrong" really. I expected more bass based on Sony's claim and looking at the HeadRoom graph but coming from my recently sold JVC DX1000 I thought they were bass-light in comparison but not shockingly different...at 1/9 the price.

For Classical music I would recommend the XB700 because they do mids & treble much better IMO. I think the XB700 is really good for the $80 that I paid. I'm testing them now with my "Electronic" playlist using my Aphex 204 processor (Big Bottom) to boost low bass around 40 Hz amped with Woo Audio 3(tubes). I'm fairly impressed so far...better overall than I expected.
