Hi... I just bought my JVC HA-SZ2000's I plan to amp them with the FiiO K5 Pro

Could you tell me If that amp/dac will bring out all the potential of the JVC's?

The fiio will work, but not to the Basshead levels that the SZ2K is capable off. Don't get me wrong, it will be plenty loud. But after applying Basshead EQ, the Fiio will show it's weakness in the lower frequency department. This Basshead requires at least double the power of what the K5 is capable off.

That should be plenty, but you need to EQ also. SZ2k's takes massive amounts of bass EQ.

Using the EQ from this software would be enough?

The only pads replacements I found online are this:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/Ear-pads-cu...-M-55X-m-55X-Headphones-headset-/172473672679

Which ones should I buy to the bass Impact Improvement?

Which Ideal amp for the Basshead levels the JVC's are capable of, do you recommend me buying then?

Please, not too expensive ones...

I use Equalizer APO which is free. Then use the Peace EQ interface. Also free. Good stuff. All you need.

EQ APO https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/
Peace EQ https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/

What about this one:

https://us.creative.com/p/sound-blaster/sound-blaster-x7-limited-edition

Maximum Power:
50 W + 50 W (4 ohm, 1 kHz, 10% THD)
Rated Power:
37 W + 37 W (4 ohm, 1 kHz, 1% THD)
Headphone Amp Output Impedance:
1 ohm
Total Harmonic Distortion:
0.05% (1 kHz, 4 ohm, 33 W)
Bundled Power Adaptor
24V 6A

I'm having trouble to find the Ideal/perfect Amp/Dac for my JVC's :triportsad:

The power specs you just listed is for the speaker amp, the headphone amp in that X7 isn't powerful enough for the SZ2K to reach bass nirvana. Take a look at THIS, the iFi Micro iDSD Black Label, it's a truly powerful DAC/Amp combo unit that will power your JVC's both as your desktop setup and as a portable setup should you choose to go that route with them. Also, you can often find them used both here and the r/AVExchange subreddit if you want to save a bit of cash. The iFi Micro is well known for being a great combo for the JVC. Anyway, good luck with whatever amp you end up with.

Thanks I'll definitely go for that one.

Sorry for not being an audio expert...

Where can I buy It used for the lowest price?

Anybody selling them here?

I just picked up a pair of SZ1000's off of Ebay and they are in mint condition and pour out amazing bass. I'm going to pour over the thread to find good EQ's though they already sound great. Someone mentioned there was a thread with 3d printing for the hinges which apparently are the only thing not built like a tank. I have zero issues so far with hinges, but I would love to have a link if that's possible.

Took out the SZ2K's today. Was messing around with the tiny DDhifi dac and modded F35 RSA amp. I forgot how good this beast of a headphone sounds.

Nice!
I recently got back into it with my SZ2Ks as well. Do you have the Brainwavz sheepskins on yours? I really couldn't get used to them and prefer the sound and comfort of the cheaper protein leathers. I have a Schiit Loki on the way to me. I don't use the headphones nearly enough because I couldn't be bothered dicking around with software EQ -- hopefully the Loki has enough adjustability...

BTW I found an awesome song for these headphones is A$AP Rocky - Praise The Lord

Yes they are they sheepskins pads and like them enough to leave them on. I just eq to compensate.
