Just installed the MR55X pads and definitely feeling the kick! It's a b*tch getting the 1K pads onto the MR55's though, the other way round was no probs at all :)

Changed the pads?.....Yes!!

which equalizer ap better for android sir?

and did you try skullcandy crusher which one is more bassy? Because my planing before want to buy skullcandy crusher

Man I am so not a sir but thanks :)

The ONKYO player has a parametric eq that is just superior to 10 band types. Interface is not best but the eq is precise.

hey guys i try this jvc with glass and half water but nothing happen like skullcandy crusher

thats mean skull candy more bass power?

Crushers would not be in the top 20 of best impact.  It's a 40mm driver and it is not good with amping, An iphone is enough for them as they have batteries in the headset. The SZ is bigger takes more power...a lot more power.

The reason the water moves is because their is a 2nd driver that is actually a piece of metal caller driver55 I think?  I don't mind the Crusher but I like amping and they don't like amping. You need 55x pads and an amp and an eq and that is a set up the Crusher would never touch on power bass

So ordered the alpha pads, hopefully that will help with ears touching the drivers.  Can't wear them for over an hour at this moment with HM55x pads. Why couldn't the pads be a little thicker sighz, had the same issue with m100s until they came out with the XL pads.

The pad depth of many bass cans kinda blows my mind. SZ,M100 Yamaha Pro 500,WS99 etc etc...no idea What?

Dunno, may be that helps hard hitting bass? Anyways, I'll get to know soon. These have become my go to cans now Btw, handed the m100 down to my wife. I am using these as portables lol, I look good!

I have to praise these gems once again.  I have been on a bit of a tangent exploring open cans.  I tried the ma900's and hd598's.  Both are "grainy"? Distort at any volume.  The dt990 can take the juice and sound great but are missing that thump.  Ath ad700x have surprising sub bass still nothing like the JVC's.  If you are looking for a fantastic value and want to experience your music get the 1000s while you can.  The crisp highs and strong mids rival open cans.  I have been on a journey and it is great to be back at home.

Though I'm out of the headphone buying game for awhile, I might recommend these for a friend. What are the differences between the 1000 and the 2000 though? He'd probably be unwilling to get the latter due to price.

Same gear and settings and the sz2k seems to have more torque at high gain. The amp died near the end of the 1k video so it might be related. The sz1k are more comfy have a slightly friendlier response and only sound different with bass at levels 99% of folks would never listen.

So they are essentially they same headphone then? No real need to buy the 2K?
