I just ordered the D2000 and it will be here tomorrow. If I really *LOVE* this headphone, then I will also order the D1100 and do a comparison between the two. (Similar to how I did my AD700 vs A700 review)

welp, just ordered the 1100's AND 2000's.
 
I'll be putting together a direction comparison between all 4 of my over-the-ear cans on Saturday night:
 
AH-D5000
AH-D2000
AH-D1100
Bose On Ear
 
I'll not only evaluate whether or not the D5000's are 100% better than the D2000's (justifying the 100% higher price) and how the D1100's stack up against both.  Frankly, I'd prefer the D1100's to be the best of the bunch because they're more portable...which is desirous for me.  But I don't mind keeping the best of the bunch.
 
Whoever wins will finally be compared to the AH-A100's, as I've ordered them as well.  A little excessive, but hey...peace of mind is valuable too.  To the victor goes the spoils.

Beast!  I ordered the D5000s (thanks again for the J&R tip

) and the A100s, but I am definitely looking forward to reading your all inclusive comparison with the 1100/2000s!

when you compare the D2000s and the D1100 can you compare the D2000 and the D1100s clamp feel cause I just got Glasses again after having contacts

Love it use it everyday to go to work and at home playing video games! I noticed that the mids starting opening up. I am going to get the eymotic mc5 for winter and use these at home. $10 less than the bose and it kills it in every way!

That's a great idea, especially since many of us are interested in the D1100 as a portable headphone. I am hoping they go as loud (or louder) than the D2000 out of an iPod...i realize the D1100 is rated at 101dB sensitivity and D2000 at 106dB, however these measurements are sometimes misleading because of the distance between the driver and the ear.
