Hey guys I was just wondering if I could get some help with what I'm trying to do here, and before I get "yelled" at for not "using the search tab" I have already and couldn't really find a definitive answer. For my newest computer build I'm planing on getting the Asus Xonar Essence STX for my sound card, A Schiit Valhalla for my amp, and a Schiit Bifrost for my DAC. Now my question is would all three of those work in wonderful loss-less audio harmony or should I cut out the sound card all together? Thank you in advance for any and all help you guys bestow upon me.

Also going to be using a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 990 600 ohm with this setup.

Either the STX or the DAC would be redundant.  If you are using a digital out to an external DAC, then a cheaper cards will transmit the same digital bit patterns to the DAC for decoding.  Aside from that, I have the STX and it sounds great.

Awesome, so I can just bypass picking up the DAC and just go with the STX and the amp and have the same quality sound?
