I am probably complete now for a while in terms of my personal head-fi music equipment.

Burson HA-160D
Earsonics SM3 V1 and V2
Hifiman RE0
Asus Xonar Essence ST

and now

Sennheiser HD650

as per the title was the $380 (free shipping) a good price?

I ordered from accessoryjack.com

$380 is a great price for that headphone. I bought it $415 on Amazon and it was still worth it at that price. It scales incredibly well, so it can become a headphone that costs hundreds more.

That's not a bad deal. I paid $329 for them + $14 for next day delivery.
I remember getting a good deal on my HD-598 by calling JR on the phone. This time I had asked if they had any deals on the HD-650 and they said they could do $379. I hesitated for a second and before I said anything else they offered them to me for $329!
I don't know if they'll offer this deal any more but it's worth a shot.

The HD-600 is selling for the same price on Amazon!

I wouldn't call $380 a deal on 650s.  When I bought 'em I got them for $330.  Doesn't Razordogdeals on ebay have a decent price on them?  They're authorized and have a 2 year warranty.  People routinely call J&R and talk them down to about $320-30.

I looked on ebay and the best price I could see was $340 AUD + 50$ Shipping so it still worked out more expensive.  those where US based ebay shops.   Aussie based ebay shops where like 450 to 500 plus shipping .. ridiculous.

$380 isn't bad at all.  It might not be the lowest historical price, but these headphones have been selling for $400-$500 for the better part of the last year. Better yet, if you truly enjoy them, then they're worth every cent, no?
