Just a survey to investigate the "taste" of fellow head-fiers, so don't take it too serious arguing this and that
i would like to know which headphone do u think is the best(sound quality, appearence etc.), u do not necessarily own it and it can be out of production

We had a dull and protracted undertaking of such polling a few months back. It created about 12 different threads because of the limit on poll choice numbers and achieved nothing meaningful.

There are likely hundreds of such "Best Ever" threads on Head-Fi, ranging from headphones to amps to sources to singers and bands. And although occasionally entertaining and stirring up a little debate, they, like a vast majority of man's endeavors, just waste time and brain cells.

I agree with the consensus, "best" is subjective and basically meaningless.

BTW, Manchester United would kick the Green Bay Packers ass.

Realistic Nova 40 nothing matches an 8 ohm driver with a big magnet and plastic earcups.

Whichever one you like the best. There isn't a consensus, not even close.

If you want to know what the best headphone is buy a ticket to Chicago next June and attend CanJam.

Every good headphone will be there for you to listen to.

You'll also need to listen to a variety of amplifiers. They're the other half of the equation. A headphone will sound very different on a solid state amp from a directly heated triode tube amp. You might love a pair on tubes and hate it on chips.

There's more to this than just picking the headphones.

Personally, I think my favorite is the K-1000 on tubes.
