Had purchased JQ products in the past, they are very good and have relied early on some websites in China which used Translate to review and few thoughts. Had the same issue with Softears .

AFAIK discontinued JQ white knight (known as five baht or wushu in chinese), and they release JQ Hua Jiang 3 (1dd + 4ba + 4est) which pretty much the strongest IEM sub 10k RMB based on mainland forum

they also released some mid-fi as Jyears (1dd 1ba 2est which already discontinued) and the newest 4u Pro (1dd + 4ba)

so the only lineup left is:
1. JQ Hua Jiang 3 --> 5899 RMB
2. JQ Elk --> 2999 RMB
3. JQ 4U Pro --> 1099 RMB

I learned they are the OEM for quite the number of companies. From Thieaudio, to Tanchjim, to others. Can anyone confirm this?

So they technically still exist just under a different business model.

Well they still exist as JQ and still has strong presence on mainland
Probably they focus more on mainland than international market Screenshot_20220528_031932_com.taobao.taobao.jpgScreenshot_20220528_031956_com.taobao.taobao.jpg
From the 2nd pic, JQ huajiang 3 sold more than 100 for the last 3 months

And yes, they do OEM for Thieaudio, for example Thie L9 is based on JQ8+1Pro
Another one behind Thieaudio is Mofasest (or known as YCQ magician in mainland)
AFAIK, Thieaudio´s OEM is GS Audio/Leisurely Audio.
Leisurely / GS / Fearless is connected for sure, but i'm not sure for Thieaudio

Anyway, Thieaudio takes lot of builder behind them, that's why lot of reviewer said lack of character from their IEM lineup

Hi!

Please, share your experience, have 4U Pro got pressure compensation holes/ports? Have not noticed them on images.

Also, can you, please, compare 4U Pro subbass with, say, Mangitd Tea 2 (the best I know - deep and very "understandable", better than, say, Tri i3 Pro or Dusk).

Hi!

I do not have JQ 4U Pro, but there is a review of them from which it is clear that they have quite large compensation holes (see photo)
