Always. (just a standard audiophile joke)

You are such a fan of the EJ07 that you convinced me I need them and so you will be the only one who would convince me to go for these JQs instead. Take your time, I will wait as long as it takes since I just can't afford multiple IEMs at that price range.

Always. (just a standard audiophile joke)

Shuoer EJ07
4 EST
2 BA
1 DD
For a total of 7 drivers.

JQ Hua Jiang
2 EST
6 BA
1 DD
For a total of 9 drivers.

Without comparing them, seeing the frequency graph for the JQ Hua Jiang, or actually A/Bing them yourself, as per your joke, more is better. (JQ Hua Jiang has more total drivers, so it's automatically better, as per your joke)

On a more serious note, all we can do is speculate. I'm curious myself to know how well the JQ Hua Jiang performs with it's two EST drivers for it's treble frequency response.

Thats just too kind man. Thank you for trusting me enough to make that jump. I hope they are doing the trick for you!

Remember, no matter how good the JQ may or may not be, it won’t take anything away from the EJ07. We all get too caught up in the next best thing, that we too often forget how good “old” products actually are.

Yeah more mids is always better, I can't hate on that at all. Or maybe they used a couple for treble. Either way its got the right stuff. Tribrid!

What we need to do is figure out the impedance of the JQ. I hope it is high which should mean the EST drivers will get enough juice.

I think BGGAR just gave you a shout out on his last vid. Looks like you’ve effectively made yourself the official champion of the EJ07.

It is a growing "army," as redrol puts it. My EJ07 is my mountaintop, too, so I'm of course interested in the JQ, and not just because of the adjacent set-up and a fellow-EJ07-appreciator's initial impressions (BGGAR'S).

For one, it appeals more to the eye than the EJ07. That's in a definite way a strike against the latter: a lack of visual allure. Of course, visual allure is nothing next to blissed-out sound, but I guarantee if the EJ07 looked classier, it'd have had a couple more buyers already. There's something that makes a person feel he is claiming a kind of power in the JQ's whirled, crepuscular shell and emblematic marking (I assume just "letters," but to us Westerners...), and then the optional "upgrade cable" at $150--though we can't see the thing yet--feels like that much more projected "goodness" in the future... tempting!

Aside all of that magick, however, I'll be happy to find and certainly hope that the JQ is even roughly as good as, if not necessarily better than, the EJ07, with however slight, and ideally complementary, adjustments to the signature. Then I would not feel so dreadfully protective of the EJ07, as if I might lose mine and that signature disappear, especially if it should be a year out from now, and the product line gone bust... All in all, it's a GREAT sign if the EJ07 is being directly targeted by competitors. That means what I reckon to be a hyper-focus, in this hobby, on a certain kind of treble "detail" at the expense of the whole frequency range, will no longer be the only marker of success, nor its competent alternatives relegated to some loaded qualifier, like "dark."
