Joint European Head-Fi/HIFI-FORUM.de Meet in Berlin, Sept. 11th. It's on!
Jul 3, 2010 at 4:19 AM Post #16 of 186
I never would have thought that there would be an HeadFi meet right around the corner.
Nice, count me in.
It's a kind of homecoming, since i bought my Beyer DT880s at Hifi im Hinterhof.

As for equipment...

Cans aside,
a Cavalli Audio Bijou DIY Amp maybe?
Meier-Audio Corda Aria?
RME ADI-2 DAC?

Whatever might seem interesting to you.
But there is certainly no need to bring them if there are already some of their kind present.

WOW - I really hope to hear that Cavalli audio DIY!
Please bring it to the meet!

I hope I can come (I will be starting univerity at this time, but I hope I will have time for this).

About equipment, I'm not sure what I will have at this time, beacuse I'm planing selling diymod, amp and buying Jh-3a. Maybe I will be able to bring universal prototype of new Czech customs.

ANd I would love to hear Bijouy amp.

Then the Bijou it is.
But beware, I can't answer questions regarding the assembly or related tech specs.
The user rille2 was kind enough to finish building the amp before selling it to me.

See my post on hifi-forum, might or might not be attaining. Depends on how much I suffer from being around at IFA for audio-technica and if I celebrate my birthday this day.

Do I have to confirm and reserve a place or can I just drop by, if I feel like it?

Well, I'm neither willing nor able to force you to confirm anything. But I would really appreciate it, if you could give me a "yay" or "nay" as soon as you can make a definite statement, if only to make planning for me a little easier.

Do you work at the Audio Technica booth? I'll take a day or two off from work to attend IFA on a weekday. I wouldn't wanna get killed in one of the inevitable weekend stampedes..

It's just a two-hour train ride from Prague to Berlin, isn't it? The last time I was in Prague was back when I still lived in Nuremberg. That just took an hour by train.

Btw, I've just received confirmation from Meelec that I'll be getting an M9 review sample sometime soon. Add that to the five Playaz/Xears In-Ears I have lying around for another review and I'll be hosting my own el-cheapo universal-IEM table at the meetup.

NN, it is something like 3 and half with car and by train it is close to 5 hours.

Feel free to visit me. :) From my experience it is largely dependent on the weather if it is crowded on the weekend days or not so much. The last two years it was really quite on the Sundays due to sunshine and warm temperatures.

Just to let you guys guys know: I teamed up with sepinho and joined the organization. With this step we also decided to invite the headphone guys from the German hifi-forum(.de) to the meet. I will primarily take care about the organization over there, but if you have any questions feel free to ask. We are trying to keep both of the OP-posts as updated as possible and will of course have you guys updated any news.

I would also like to ask you guys to name the equipment you are planning to bring along so we all will an overview over the equipment. If you have already confirmed your appearance at the meet please remember that we might not have this information, yet.
Thanks.

Oh and before I forget it, I have very good contacts to several German distributions and/or manufacturers. So if there is something you would really like to be there just name it and maybe there can be done something. :)

Thanks for your attention.

Come for the headfi-meet, stay for the vibrant cultural scene!

Berlin's always worth a visit, why not spend a weekend in town? We'll only have the room until 3 p.m., that doesn't mean we'll each go our seperate ways afterwards. I'm sure most of us will have dinner together, rasmushorn has already suggested going to a techno party afterwards.

I'd love to come but a 7 hour drive to Berlin for only a 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.session might be a bit exagerated
