Hey everyone, I'm new to the world of professional audio and would love for someone to clear this up.
 
I'm on the fence about a few different JH IEMs.  They will be for live performance and casual listening through my iphone 5 / Ipad without an amplifier.  I've read that the 10x3s will definitely hiss when only being driven by an Iphone.  Is this true?  Why haven't I heard about the other models hissing? 
 
Iphone 5 = 3- 4.5 Ω  (can't find a solid number on this)
JH5       = 21  Ω
JH10x3  = 18  Ω
JH13      = 28 Ω

I don't remember having any hiss with my JH5s or JH11s back when I owned an iPhone 5, but it's been around 8 months since I last had one so maybe my memory's a bit off.

I listen to my JH16FP through my iPhone 5 (CDMA) and have no more hiss than any other headphone - and it isn't the phone, it is recording equipment from 1974!

I have the jh16s and it sounds fine.  Not as nice as with my RWA bellina
