With "up the ear" i mend the cable that sometimes go on (above) your ear, like with the Ultimate Ear IEMs!

Hard to explain exactly because English ain't my first language, sorry!

And Y's are the best!

Btw, when can we expect these baby's to be for sale? I hope before September 21, that will give it one week for delivering and will have them when the iPod Touch comes out, September 28!

You can decide for yourself if you want to wear them over or under under ear

No offense taken!

Anyway: it's nice to have the choice on how to wear them!

After weeks of research I am down to two models:

Denon C751 for $200
q-Jays, about $190

Unfortunately there is probably nobody in the world that has tried both yet.

Although the Denon is on par with Shure's SE310...

So, compared to the SE310, can the q-Jays survive?

In my opinion they are almost as good as e-500 in some regards even better, so they will easyli defend itself against se310, would probaly beat it to a pulp, but I have only heard the E-500 in Shures so I really do not know..

Just got my sticky little fingers in some JAYS foamies today...
biggrin.gif

They are sooooo comfortable, I can not even feel they are in my ears, much softer than the ones I make my self, like the "bilsom soft" earplug if I schould compare the density, they expand slover than the bilsom and do not need to be compessed before inserting..
etysmile.gif

They are as "invisible" to my ear like my custom earprotection (silikonetype)

The tube has a "collar" so that it will stay on.

Tomorrow I will test the isolation at work and see how they handle that, for me, very important part of the job, also the comfort over time..

I almost have the urge to go back to work and start some machinery, I am so exited...I really hope they isolate well

When I compare with my own foamies, I get better and more punchy bass, but they are also longer so the phone is in a greater distance of my eardrum when using homemades..
It is not night and day difference, but it is there (now Peter is going to tease me)..
I need to shorten my home made ones to see if I am right about this, I will do so next week and report back here with my opinions..

I have some foam tips coming too.... I'll post some impressions after I spend some time (~1week) commuting with them.
