It seem that a few members would like to compare the 325i to the new MS-2 fat boys

Well, the local audio store near me carries the SR325 classic, SR325i and RS-1 (and the owner has an MS-Pro of his own). Alex has the PS-1 and HP-1000, so all we need is someone to send us Bay Area boys their MS2 classic and MS2i and we'll have the ultimate Grado shoot-out.

I currently have the old style MS-2's. I will have both the 325i and the MS-2i's coming in the next few weeks. After burn-in I plan to write a comparison review of the following cans:

MS-2
MS-2i
325i
HP-1

Associated equipment will be:

Sony scdc333es - SACD only
McCormack MID Amp with upgraded PS
BPT Custom Power Conditioner
Outlaw PSC IC's

If anyone has a 325 silver or 325 black they could loan me to throw into the mix, PM or email me and we can work out the details.

I also have a set of MS-Pro's and a headphile recabled and woodied 225 but I was going to keep this a metal comparison.

Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

The MS2i is the 325i with a silver enclosure (instead of gold, but the structure will be identical) and the SR325 buttons removed from the screen, which IMO improves the sound ever so slightly (and any other minor change George implements). I theorize that the MS2i will sound VERY similar to the SR325i with perhaps a slightly more refined sound (very subtle difference), just as the MS2 sounded similar to the SR325 with a tad more refinement. I'm placing my bets on the MS2i to sound better than the SR325i to me (though again, the difference will be subtle at best).

I have the old MS-2, I'm in the Bay Area (Fremont). If someone wants to do a comparison, I'd be glad to lend out the headphones.

Did you read it? If so what do you think about that?

I did read it but it doesn't matter. The MS2 is a slightly tweaked SR325 and the MS2i (fatboy) is a slightly tweaked SR325i (fatboy, gold, etc.) - whether or not George himself hears a large difference is irrelevant. John simply sends George the basic SR325i headphones without the buttons and silver cups rather than gold. The metallic structure, cabling and drivers between the SR325i and MS2i are identical (just as the metallic structure, cabling and drivers between the SR325 classic and MS2 classic are identical).
