Does using memory foam tips interfere with bone conduction drivers' abilities?
The only way it's gonna interfere is if for whatever reason it blocks the BCD vent (like the Moondrop Springs can do), or it keeps you from making skin contact with the vent. Otherwise no. Not gonna have any effect at all.

The Vent... thank you. Hoping for sound isolation not to change the great sound : )

i'm fighting to adapt me to isn ebc80 sound (i don't tell you all the story)... last discover: penon pac 480 make the mid basses play faster louder and more forward , now the piano is more flattend whilst before the midbasses sound far and the left hand was too hide form the left hand... now it's a lot better!! voices are a little recessed and the curve is more natural.... before i listen the voice forward...well done but the rest of the players were ...hiden.... i don't know how to explaine better...try penon pac480 with angela hewitt playing "fantasia in d minor k397 in the album beethoven & mozart: sonatas and variations - hyperion and let me know

Yep, I am also fighting with it, kind of having love and hate relationship with it cause it is not my preferential sound signature, with certain music with lots of midbass it sounds stellar but on thinner tracks it tend to sound a bit sibilant to me and tiring, I wish it would have more midbass, so I am also playing with stuff. It is an amazing set just not warm enough to be one and only, more like a great complimentary set, guess it is naive to think that one IEM could be perfect in every way. Cables, tips, sources... From time to time I look at the Shock but the answer is not easy, each IEM has its specifics, guess Shock would also lack in some aspect.

This would be my preference but even it sounds sibilant and sharp on certain occassions.

Ordered a tube amp, should do it justice.

yesterday i read again all the redcarmoose review of isn ebc80, in particular the cable rolling test, the point is that for me with the standard cable the isn sound thin ...lifless, so you need a good cable to make them awake. the included cable is a 79 dollars set, why penon doesn't chose better the included cable ...i don't know.. i'm waiting form the 12 \12 the arriving of gd849 to try it on isn and land but the pac 480 was a oxygen breath with isn. i don't know if i ever will spend for an asos+x or pyramid viii without havng the chance to send them back.... anyway maybe yesterday night i understood The right way to frame the isn: is not for exciting moments, isn recreate the same black background and ambient of when you're in the theater with a half-lit spotlight that illuminates the protagonist with that warm light.. and the music appear from this blackness with easy and magic.... but you have to listen to moderate level to have This kind of illusion... if you rise up the volume too much the bass become too invading at a pont that dominate everything... so its better too seek for another iem to have that punch at high volume....these are my conclusions... isn plays music for relax the nerves i will never listen fast energetic metal music with them..... but yesterday some fabrizio bosso album were so nice and captivating thinking to be in a theatre..... land can't reproduce that black background and all is nervous and underlined and snappy and thinner... but during the day i enjoy them a lot so a tsmr must be in you collection i think

Sounds to me you need the ISN H60 in your life?

by the way, the cables included with the EBC80 are HOT GARBAGE. Same with the cable included with the H60. To be honest, I still haven't settled on a cable for the EBC80, but I'm not in a hurry to get one, since I sent my EBC80 out on tour, so I won't be seeing it back for about a month+, but when I do get it back, I'll have a couple cables waiting to try on it.

Glad you think the same things about the isn cable like me... Sincerely I delete a previous message i which used some unpolite terms about it and about the difficult to make the sound of ebc sound acceptable...

But yesterday with pac480 and PEnon orange I could imagin them to have a place in my collection. I pull the trigger on this model although in the past I was completely upset with the poor sounding h50 when everybody advised them to me so this time I would like to try the best example of Isn sound that I start to think is a strange ideas of how to render lower mids, cause in the h50 we're terrible there is a review here I made of them, I thought they faulty and I sold them 5 days after finished burn in.... So there is no chance h60 will tempt me.
I'm a classical musician and I noticed a lot of incongruence in sound that other doesn't, and some iem don't even try to approximate the reality but are just experiments to have fun with electronic music soundtrack etc... But fail in acoustic music.... I hate that kind of iem

Not here to change your mind but I've owned every ISN IEM made. H50 in my opinion is the worst of the bunch. H60 is a phenomenal set

and again i've to change, moving from fosi ds2 dongle to fiio q15 with pac480 voices were too far and i've connected penon space again ... each time you change the source you have to adjust again all the rest... fiio q15 give the isn the right dynamics instead of ifi gryphon that is slower.... ohh my god it wil end this reaserch? also tried moondrop springs....basses disappered

yesterday for the first time after a long burn in i listened to isn ebc 80 with pleasure with a selection of country music. Voices are perfect on this iem full of detail and communicative without never been grainy or to much luminous or shouty, nothing you can here a perfect voice, stop. the back ground instruments have the right amount of metallic timbre (guitar or banjo) or plastic (harps) without any sharpness... everything is very smooth not warm, for example the old penon fan2 with sonion mids male me think ohh what a warm mids, with isn mids are... neutral in warmness ...incredible. they sound well also with bad recordings simply beacuse they don't highlight nothing. So old '7' '80 '90 recordings are welcome. at low volume i can't distinguish the bc contribution and for me it's better. basses are ,nearly perfect but i don't know if isobaric basses will ever be more natural and coherent to real sound that a simple big speaker.. but this certainly let the iem to stay smaller (moondrop meteror using 13mm bass is bigger). for now i stay wth penon space, no way i'll spend other money for a 300 cable, but. i will try other tips, i'm curios about the velvet and the spinfit w1

I have the same problem with Xelento 2, very interested if you found something to reduce that sharpness.
There are solutions for that, EQ, warmer source, ear tips, actually yep get Spinfit Omni tips it will make it more warm, more midbass than stock, better stage, also some additional dampening on nozzles should work, didn't try that yet.
