Hey,

So I just got my first pair of good headphone( HFI 780), and at the price range I really want to take good care of it. After using it for about a week or so the "cup" started to seperate(image below)..... Is this normal....

what are some good tips on taking good care of headphone....

Also, does any one know, does the headphone jack break easily or is the wire well build?
are there any things i can do to keep this headphone in good condition for as long as possible.

Thanks

They shouldn't be doing that. Can you return them?

As for care, most headphones hold up well. Keep them clean (wipe with a cloth damp with water only) now and then, keep them out of direct sunlight, and don't let kids or pets play with them. Be careful not to drop them or pull on the cords, too.

yeh, my HFI-580's did that after about a month, it's just them stretching a bit, don't worrt 6 months and they still clamp like a vice, so the 780's should be just fine.

The sound quality should not be affected? So there is no need to return it?

Thanks

No, unless it's extremely loose (the pads barely touch your head), the sound quality / isolation should be unaffected with pleather pads.

Instead, loosening means increased comfort. Embrace this change!
