Hi guys,
I cannot forget my time with my ex1000,
but it's isolation is not functioning at all,
and it is the most uncomfortable IEM I have ever come across, so I sold it to my friend.
Here's the problem, I need something sounds exactly the same or similar to it,
wide soundstage, details, nice treble and vocal
Of course, it should have good isolation with comfort.
Is such a thing exist?
Thanks

Unfortunately not exactly. The poor isolation of the Sony gives it a really special soundstage & it is a stunning sounding phone. Better isolation and 90% of sound is GR07 (thinner sounding but equally fast & transparent), best isolation and 95% of sound is Westone 4.

The um3x and SM3 are also awesome but differ even more in terms of sound.

Just my two cents.

Audio-Technica's CK100pro comes to mind. One of the very few universals I'll put in the same breath as EX1000, very similar signature but much better ergonomics and isolation.

+1 for gr07. reminds me strong of the ex1000. cheaper alternative is imo ue200.

Thanks for your idea, I have never though of that, will try to get my hand on GR07 tomorrow.
W4 is another nice suggestion, but it sounded boring with my ipod mini.

May I ask what setup are you using now?
as the CK100pro I have tried was quite different from Ex1000,
although i tried it before purchasing ex1000.
