I will buy an iMod classic 160GB as soon as Vinnie has it ready (assuming it has a good DAC in there). This can store my entire CD collection at lossless AND have the battery life to let me enjoy it. Not to mention a cover art browser! I'm in heaven.

I find that slightly interesting, only because I would consider a 160GB imod a lot of money to pay for a portable audio player, yet I have a fair bit larger CD collection.... maybe I just get bored of listening to the same music too easily ;p

better still, how long till the Samsung 160gb hdds, that is in the classic, will be available to purchase and stick in our 5.5G 80gb ipods??? but then again, it would probably cost just short of a 160gb ipod anyways.

Judging by past availability of 1.8" drives, I'm not holding my breath for this. If the drives are compatible, the iPod classic might just be the most economical route for the new drives, strangely enough.

Apple still screwing Canadians though. $279 for 80GB, $399 for 160GB in Canada even though our dollar is about the same.

wow, 40 hours of audio playback is pretty impressive compared to the 5.5g.

If the DAC is any good I won't even hesitate to get one imoded... otherwise I wont be getting one.

SQ first, storage and battery life second.

Wow I love the ipod touch...the wifi web browsing really threw it over the edge for me. Many people are complaining about store capacity but 8gb is more than enough for me.

What the hell can I do with my 3 month old D2? I hope there's enough apple haters to buy it off of me
