The 3.Ai's have no audible hiss at normal listening levels with my iPhone 4s.

I havn't tested the iPod with other IEM's yet as I can't seem to find my SHE3590's at the moment but I will in the next day.

Cheers,

Ok, you need to do that. It maybe just be a case of bad pairing (and bad luck) between the iPod and your 3.Ai, or then your iPod can be faulty too...

Just updated for the first time in three months. We will see what has changed from the perfection of 120802.  :)

Thanks, Aroldan!

You resisted for a long time! Keep us posted on those eventual changes you may find. I haven't noticed much differences, but I'm always updating as soon as aroldan releases his builds. It will be nice to know what you find, as there's been 3 or 4 updates since you last updated...

I'm curious too as to whether I will notice any change at all. I will let you know.

Ok, but to your ears both releases sound the same too, right? I'm asking because to my ears, they do...

Yes. You may remember that I thought that I heard a deterioration in one of the interim (September?) releases but it was probably my imagination. Generally, I think that they all sound the same.

Otherwise, it is still very early but everything seems to be nice and snappy.

Yes, yes I do remember. It wasn't just you who mentioned that back then, and I told you guys that you were hearing things...

Ok, your impression confirms my thoughts and perceptions about this matter! Thanks...

I am running 'emcore > v0.2.3 r859 & rockbox > 48c248dM-120410' on the latest 160gb classic and didn't bother with any upgrade since then. Works flawlessly.

Now I feel like asking here if I'm terribly missing out on something.

Note: I am enjoying a reasonably great battery life and think I hardly miss the Meier crossfeed thing.

Hey, good to see you on here. I still have your kitchen sink (displays for everything) version of Cabbie V3 mod on my Classic. I like it. I modded it slightly to accommodate the 3-way crossfeed in Aroldan's builds.

What I was working on eventually landed here but I have added a crossfeed LED since then.

Well, if you're happy with the way it sounds and the battery life, don't change I guess! I believe that aroldan is continuosly trying to improve his RB builds, so I just update as soon as he releases them! Have I noticed any major improvement since I started using his builds? Maybe battery life, but nothing regarding sound quality, as it sounds the same to me since I started using his builds...
