There are cheaper DAPs that support Spotify.
Pioneer. XDP-100r.
I have heard the Mojo and don't believe the hype. YMMV.
Also you end up with a pain of a stack with the clunky CCK.

Funny, the Pioneer XDP-100r lost against the Chord Mojo in reviews.

Well. I've not actually heard the Pioneer. I might not rate that either!
All I do know is that the 4S is an excellent source.

Oh right the little sister(slightly worse) of dpx1, but with $100 difference ill take dpx1 due to the balance output

And the dpx1(xdp100r) SE is not better than mojo

Yes i also hate the cck cable (mine broke after using it 5 times)

But as similar or better DAC with better amp go, I'll go with dpx1 for DAP or Mojo for DAC/AMP

Pioneer XDP 100r is very very expensive :)

Xdp 100 R is around $500 on ebay which is around your budget

and dpx1 is around $600

Off-topic: They obviously copied the iPhone.

Hey there,

I passed the first 10 something pages before I saw how many there still are. Could anyone bring me up to date, that would be awesome :)

First off all:
Could this affect me (could not hear it in a noisy store, but my headphones are not made for an noisy environment). Got some Phillips Fidelio 2 inears, nothing serious.

Frequency: 5 – 40.000  Hz
Impedance: 22  Ohm
Sensivity: 107  dB

Is the problem fixed/figuered out?

I want to get a new small smartphone with good audio quality and thinking about getting the 6s or the Xperia X Compact (sadly made out of plastic...). Not too many choices out there..
Most of my music is in CD-quality only 2 FLAC albums yet, Planing and buying FLAC or equal in the future only though.

If you are referring to the RFI problem. As far as I am aware this has not been sorted out. Some people seem to have more problems with it than others.
I would not of thought there was any shortage of smartphones with decent audio to choose from if that is your prime criteria. HTC?...

Unless you have very sensitive balanced armature earphones, you have nothing to worry about.

Cd is higher quality than flac.  you can rip all your cd's and compress it to flac.

CD is not higher quality that flac.  Once decompressed, bit for bit they should be the same.  However, based on the DAC in your CD player and the one in your computer or FLAC file player, there could be marked differences in playback.  For example, FLAC files ripped from a CD and played through a Dragonfly Red should blow away the actual CD played on a Sony CD player.

Anyone pair a set of Sony 7506's with the iPhone and if so how does it sound?

Anyone pair a set of Sony 7506's with the iPhone and if so how does it sound?

Years back my brother have me a pair of V6's withteh Beyerdynamic DT250-80 muffs. I sold them. Reading your post reminds me that the would have complimented the iPhone 6S so well.

I am sad now. {:-(

It is your fault. >:-\

Mail me a 7506. (=-]

I can't actually tell you how they sound, but they're very easy to power and so very portable with a bit of isolation.

So I have recently decided I want/NEED something bigger/easier/non-ear violating than the Westone UM Pro 30's for home usage. Water behind the ear drum is balls and I wish it on no one. :-(

I decided in the 880's and saw they came with an A5 in a combo (saved $15 from a coupon too). I technically don't need an amp at the moment as my hopes lie within a Yamaha RX-V381 receiver @ the moment. But I figured, why not, right? It'll make it easier to move around the room with a portable juicer.

With all that, I'm wondering if I need to pick up a lightning to line out adapter to eliminate any funny business. Tho I have heard it's OK to go "amp to mobile in the heat of the moment" from a cool lady.

Anyone use something similar?

Also, have a great weekend!!!
