To make the website more safari friendly, goto your profile settings or somewhere in there, and tick option to format threads width. Everything becomes a lot better, not perfect though.

Yeah, fixed width.  It used to work like a charm, then about 2 months ago or so a huddler change was made that makes all the type too small.  I used to read head-fi on my iphone held vertically, without need of scrolling, but now I can only do it horizontally.

I agree with lee730
typing on my iPod on headfi is horrendously difficult
Im using it right now
an in case you couldn't tell it is sucking
big time

Id love to see a head fi app or a mobile optimized site. Even when I run head fi on google chrome it is a little bit messed up

I noticed this. It lags really bad on head-fi.

On the 4S? How is that possible? The 4S is supposedly 2-3 times faster than my SGS2. The SGS2 handled every website well, not even a slightest lag. I even tested it with heavy multitasking + multiple tabs.

No, iphone 4. I was originally going to get the 4s but the price to space ratio was to low. Plus they were sold out.

The guy i was responding to mention the iphone 4 not 4s.

none of the iphone touch screens a laggy in the least.  However the head-fi site is NOT mobile browser friendly.   Some days it is speedy, some days it is not.  Maybe one day they'll make it more friendly to smartphones in general.

Does this mean the unresponsive or slow touchpad response is the head-fi post box itself instead of my iphone? I don't notice the lag anywhere else.

How is the battery life of the 4s compared to the 4? I have heard that the battery life actually got worse not better.

If they used the same battery for both iphones i could see the 4s having a shorter battery life as it has higher specs to run. I can only speak for the 4 non 4s though. Which to me has excellent battery life.

well there are articles all over the net stating the battery life got noticeably worse in the 4s from the 4 even though the 4s has a slightly higher mah battery. I think even apple acknowledged the issue.

I haven't seen or heard enough complaints to worry about it. Just make sure you don't have to many programs running and the screen brightness isn't 100%.

Edit: i read somewhere it was ios 5 which shortened the battery life.

well im not buying an iphone 4s. Verizon 4G LTE is online in my city now. So that galaxy prime with 720p 4.65" sAMOLED and ice cream sandwich is the way to go for me. Plus it's a google phone like the 2 nexus lines were and the thing about the direct google phones is that google always pushes the latest android os version to them quickly, even the 2 year old nexus phones have the latest android version. All the other android phones rarely get OS updates. And I prefer the vanilla android implementation on them and they come with a settings option to unlock the bootloader making them incredibly easy to root.

I dont mind carrying separate device for music and for everything else.

How do you go about doing this setting change? Is it a setting on the iPhone? Where would I find this setting?

It's really the perfect phone for me. Unlocked bootloader which means google basically wants you to root the phone. 4g lte speeds so i can tether my rooted phone to laptop and get broadband like speed on the go and way better screen than ipod. Probably the best screen on the market period huge 4.65" 1280x720 resolution and samoled. And of course like googles nexus line of phones always will have the latest android update pushed to it unlike the carrier specific androids which the carriers choose to push updates which they never do.

Basically, if you dont mind carrying 2 devices one for music and one for everything else the galaxy prime is the best hands down. Really the only thing the iphone has going for it over the galaxy prime is its higher audio quality. Everything else they either do equally well or the galaxy prime is better.

That is way to big for a portable phone imo.
