One question, does all hybrids earphone generally perform better than non-hybrid balance armature drivers? Which means that hybrids earphone are more value for money?? correct me if I'm wrong.. :D

various attempts were made, and it seems Lear's BDM4.2 (4 balanced + 2 dynamic) is the best for ciem and the Dharma for big cans ( see Canjam SoCal appreciation thread about Dharma) ;)

Very much depends on implementation of the drivers, and what your preference is.  I've heard straight dynamics I like, hybrids I like and multi BAs I like.  Suggesting there is a "best" of anything in this hobby is a misnomer.  At the end of the day its about what you like.  Certainly as far as value is concerned, I've heard a lot of very good sounding Hybrids recently at far cheaper prices than their mulit-BA counterparts.

I do have an Adel U6 multi-BA due in June though - and I am very much looking forward to seeing how that sounds.

and Delta is one of them? :P

From my experience, there is no single method or design that guarantee best ultimate sound. So, it is all depending on the design and tuning. And also mostly on personal preferences.

For me, I did experienced and have some very good hybrids, and so far not so much pure BA IEMs really make me willing to buy them. But again I still believe it is much depending on the design and tuning, and cannot be generalized that hybrids generally better than non-hybrid.

Sorry typo. Yes I meant the Delta.

So the delta really capable of rivalling the triple driver iem :P

Just my opinion and my preferences at play.  Many others will prefer the thicker sound of the A83.

But yes - to me it has the sonic ability to play against other IEMs in the $150-250 bracket.

This is GREAT news!!! I was thinking of getting a triple or even a 2nd hand Heir 4as, but couldn't justify the price. Now I really can't wait....

Guys, so finally what you guys getting?
I've pledged for 2 Hyperion, but considering Delta

I pledged a double Delta with TAUS93. Always been curious about the sound of a hybrid iem and the Delta had the right mix of tech and tunability. That it sounds better than the HaviB3P1 was great, but if it can go toe to toe with some triples then it's going to be amazing!

Just remember people - this is my preference.  It may not be yours

Thanks for the clarification. By the way, what is the audible difference between single driver and multi-drivers (dual/triple)? Does multi-drivers earphone sounds more 3D and refined than single BA/dynamic earphone? Sorry for the dumb questions, I'm just starting to step in this audio game :P

It is all about the tuning. There are single drivers that sound better than multiple drivers. The best way to find out is to go to a local audio shop and test them out for yourself. Your personal preference makes a big difference too. More drivers do not translate necessarily to better performance, although there is a greater chance that may be the case.

No worry, everyone has their own start :)  Glad to help.

What I'm looking for good sound are basically can be generalized into few basic parameters:
1. Tonality
2. Detail
3. Dynamic

Actually many more, spaciousness and imaging for example, which is harder to quantify.

Multi drivers approach is taken when a single driver cannot perform well for the entire audio spectrum. For example, a single BA driver generally has too small surface area to push enough air to create sensational bass impact. It can reach the low bass frequency, but not powerful enough to generate enough loudness of the bass frequency for appropriate bass loudness. Therefore more BA drivers added to 'patch' the bass loudness. Or a dynamic driver added to 'patch' the bass loudness deficiency.

Same goes to treble, if a large dynamic driver is too slow to generate enough treble, a BA driver might be added to 'patch' the treble region.

The best is to have one driver to serve the entire spectrum. DUNU Titan 1 is a good example of how a single dynamic driver is sufficient to serve the entire audio frequency spectrum.

To me, less driver is better. I'm skeptical to too many drivers. More drivers are prone to phase errors between the drivers. Also difficult maintain consistent impedance between the drivers. That's why multi driver IEM sometime prone to high output impedance (example here). But some good multi driver design sounds really good, and can be better than a single driver. Although it doesn't mean that multi driver always sounds better than a single driver. That is wrong perception.

I'm always a fan of a good single driver. But I'm also always interested with good multi driver.

Another wrong perception is the larger the dynamic driver, the better. Small driver can sound excellent when placed very close to the eardrum, like the micro driver technique. And large driver may have housing resonant issue.

Let's hope Trinity IEM prove that single or dual drivers are enough to create good IEM

Personally I'd like a right angled jack - instead of the straight one - but that's just me
