Just got a d2r delivered today. I listened to it for about 30 minutes and the sound was pretty good playing some delta blues. I'm going to let it burn in for a week with constant play from roon, then see how it sounds.

I have been wanting one of these for about a year now, just glad that I could get it before the tariffs kicked in.

Very pleased with the d2r, the resolution is so impressive. Much higher than with the musician pegasus.

How long did it take to burn in? Over the past 3 days, the sound has been changing.

I let my VMV D2R play overnight for a couple days before any critical listening and didn't notice any big changes after that.

Well, the d2r left channel died this morning. I think that Im done with smsl at this point. Going to spend the money on a sony pcm 2 digital recorder and two shure unidirectional mics and mic stands. It sounded good while it lasted.
