Introducing the Questyle M15 & the brand new Questyle Shop!
Jul 7, 2022 at 9:01 PM Post #242 of 989
I would guess I will not need to apply a firmware update when this arrives?
Just to confirm, you ordered it from the official Questyle Shop online? Or did you order it from somewhere else?

@Questyle Is there a way of using headphones with in-line mic for Windows 10 with M15? Right now it does not work and if I remember correctly M12 used to work with phones that way. I mean I am not sure whether 3,5mm socket is TRS or TRRS now
Unfortunately no, the M15 does not work with an in-line mic. Only the M12 does. Sorry for the inconvenience here. It was a feature we tried to engineer into the product but it was very difficult to get it to work reliability due to a number of factors regarding the chipset and the dual output nature of the M15, so we decided to leave it out.

does M15 have ASIO driver?
To be honest, I'm not quite sure... let me go ask the engineers.

Yes, official shop (I'm guessing you're asking as older inventory in the hands of other sellers that might have older firmware but will be current via official?).

Yep, you got it haha. All of the M15s from the official Questyle Shop are up to date firmware-wise, so need to upgrade them at all 😄 just unbox and enjoy!

My unit came in earlier today. Love how it sounds. Definitely a keeper! :)

I got some noise floor when pair M15 with 64 Audio Trio (5.5 Ohms and 104dB), even in low gain and pair with phone. Maybe my iems is too sensitive (just use 1% volume when pair with desktop), but the noise floor is decreased when I use 3.5mm, so can firmware update fix it?

I am listening to my Focal Clears and alternating between my Questyle M15 and Chord Mojo 2. The Mojo 2's technical chops might be slightly better with this setup, with more detail and width, but the M15 gets close on the technical front and provides a more energetic / engaging presentation to my ears. I'll keep testing, but I have been seriously impressed with the M15 - especially from a price/performance/convenience standpoint.

If using the M15 for the first time and plugged into a PC, please be careful, it will default to 100% volume often.

I set the volume to 10%, opened Tidal and didn't realize it went to 100%, good thing it was on low gain and I was using headphones. with IEMs my hearing would be damaged for sure.

I haven't used it since, hoping for a firmware update that might fix this.

Totally agree with you.
That’s why I sold my Mojo 2.

I am embarrassed to admit it, but I actually repurchased the Mojo 2 and the M15 is so good, now I am considering selling the Mojo 2 again. :)
