Can anyone confirm they can use Roon and the tube mode at the same time? Going to demo today but doubt I’ll be able to test Roon. Every DAP I have used with a tube has had this issue.

Roon can be used in any of the amp modes and Roon will display what amp mode is being used.

Sorry, wrote the response and forgot to hit post. yes, use tube mode primarily with Roon. Once in a while I notice RFI with Roon when a track first starts, only for a second or two and not often. As I mentioned previously, I do notice it for a second or two when starting a track using streaming apps on my slower backup internet connection, but not with my main Internet connection which is a 1G fiber connection.

Same experience. 600 Mb fiber wifi connection. Buzzing is present for a few seconds. 6/7 seconds audible with the A&K Solaris X. With Focal Celestee, less sensitive, buzzing audible for 2/3 seconds. Each one must decide if it seems important or not. "And yet it moves"

Woah, so that would be audible for the beginning of a song, not for the entire song?

I am currently using a 1 GB/s optic fiber connection, it would explain why I never noticed it............

But that doesn't explain why I have no hissing with my Solaris SE and Andromeda? Tried to hear any hissing on hybrid and tube mode for an hour on different tracks and failed, zero hissing... probably that's because I use aftermarket cables with my iems.

I didn't notice any hiss either, all safe. The noise everyone is talking about is not a hiss, but a buzzing distortion, I spoke with a few users to understand it better, so it is safe, no one should be having any hiss

I dont use online mode so official opinion about to slow wifi is little odd.

Then I don't understand why some people have hissing and buzzing and the others (like me) have not. My Solaris SE are quite sensitive too but I don't have any issues (hissing or buzzing) online and offline (qobuz and tidal downloaded tracks, albums and playlists ).

To be sure i borrow from shop second unit but there is the same problem. Its frome tube 100% because on OP mode is ok

Wifi (or RFI) can come from every thing around you that is connected to the Wifi (or Bluetooth). The radio frequencies are in the air and can be picked up by the tubes.

I had similar problems with the BX-4. That is only a portable tube AMP.

I did quick test. Turn off wifi at home, selfphones on plane mode, all laptops off and still the same.
SP2000T-Mest Mk2 4.4 bal - Hans Zimmer - Dune - Dream of Arrakis - hiss from start to 10 sek, 38 sek-1.10 sek, 3.05-3.10 on Tube and Hybrid mode.
Maybe i can try to find 3rd unit

I have A&K Ultima sp 2000T already for rwo months now and I must say this is the best sounding android DAP I've ever heard in terms of 3d sound soundstage, musicality, tonality and timbre in hybrid and tube mode, I really love it and even prefer it over spk2. Sold my Shanling m8 and A&K Ultima 1000m gold edition.

@RagnarL I’m totally agree with you I had sp2kss and it was a little bit better in terms of technicality, but sp2kt in tube mode is far more pleasantly and has this 3D soundstage effect, which is purely amazing.
