Introducing Shanling M7 - Portable Hi-Fi Android Player

I noticed that too. Brickwall having bit more bass and bigger soundstage. More layers.
Minimum phase slow roll off the most analogue smooth, minimum fast roll off more treble and upfront vocals and linear fast roll off to be something in between. Actually I find the difference in filters for the m7 much more recognizable than others daps I had before.

I advice new owners to play with filters from the most sharp stock minimum phase roll off (for treble heads) to the most analogue minimum phase slow roll off or brickwall (for bass).
Nice! I like brickwall!

This thread is very quiet, surely more people have this now and can contribute an added opinion.

Received the M7 on Thursday, overall it seems like a good device, sadly I haven't had much time to play with it, I'll comment on several things a bit later. The sound it seems very natural and complete but I want to wait to burn it a little more to talk about it.

Regarding the software, everything works very well, I want to mention a couple of aspects that I am missing, the first is to use the double tap to turn off the screen, the system only allows double tap to turn it on. If double tap cannot be enabled, it would be ideal to be able to add an icon like the one in notifications for this function. The second is that a launcher like Nova cannot be used correctly, it is in constant conflict with Shanling's despite choosing Nova as the default, I hope they can correct some of these functions in future updates.

Overall it is a top notch device, the build quality is very high, very well designed and robust. Just some small software details to polish. The sound everything and that I already like a lot, I will wait to give a more detailed description and a comparison with Hiby R6 2020.

Double tap to turn off is good idea, will see if we can add it in.

Alternative launchers are not fully supported in our system due to conflict with prime mode and we do not expect any change to this.

Hi, @Shanling

Does the M7 have 'over-ear headphone mode' ala M9? I recall either some promotional material or reviews saying it did, but screenshots of the M7's quick options pull down menu don't show an 'over-ear headphone mode' like the M9 has.

Is M7 missing this feature, or has 'over-ear headphone mode' been absorbed into high gain like M8 turbo mode?

Thanks!

Just set M7 to the High Gain and you will have same output power as M9

I have my player. The first impressions are assertive, driving, detailed, but at the same time the music goes in one wave. The stage is large enough in all directions. It gives powerful emotions, it can be seen by my wife, how I stomp my foot and make emotional grimaces :)
My English is not good enough. Used a translator.

hi.
I'm Japanese so I use the translation function.
Excuse me for poor English.

Sound cannot be played normally from Chrome.

for example
https://audiostock.net/
Even if I try to listen to the audio on a site like the one above, it will be interrupted.

It breaks even on youtube on the browser.

No problem from Firefox.

I emailed support.
>Playing music directly from the browser is quite unusual, not something we would test on our devices.
I received the above reply.

I was very troubled because I sometimes check the sound on the WEB at work.

It corresponds by using Firefox for the time being.
I presented the problem and the solution.

I'm a little disappointed because there was no problem with M6 and M8.

I really like this DAP itself. It ’s also great that it ’s smaller than M8.

Thank you for reading.
