I received my HD800S headphones today. I’ve managed to listen, paired with my DMP-Z1 ( The 4.4mm balanced cable was included. ) for 7 + hours today & I’m very impressed.
I haven’t used my Shanling M30, since receiving my DMP back, but I will tomorrow, with the HD800S.
@Shanling Hi there. I purchased the M30 a couple days ago and have been loving it! I just have a small problem though. A lot of my songs are sorted through "Album Artist" and not "Artist", so it looks really messy on my M30 now. I also like sorting my Albums through "Album Artist" and "Year" as well instead of name. Would these be implemented later on or am I missing something? Thank you!

Maybe a niche use case but can you use the M30 as digital transport (USB) > External DAC > RCA back into M30 as headphone amplifier? I suspect you can only chose one mode at a time

I haven’t used my Shanling M30, since receiving my DMP back, but I will tomorrow, with the HD800S.
I must admit, that I haven’t been using my M30 as much, since getting my DMP-Z1 back from repair, but the M30 is a great alternative & is so versatile. I would still say the DMP is still the best audio experience i have ever heard, for headphone listening.

I have a bunch of your products and love them all. I recently purchased the Amp 2 module for the M30 and wow just wow. I heard the next module is the a new more modern OS. When is this going to be available? And lastly I really wish you guys would make a black leather protective case since it really is transportable. The case is nice but it’s too big to throw in a backpack. Perhaps a nice leather carrying case with a sling like a messenger bag. I’d pay serious cash for that. Maybe make me a one off.

@Shanling can you guys make a special order one for me? I would pay handsomely for one. Especially if it’s the same quality of your cases for the daps. Please think it over and let me know.
I have an idea. I prefer the sound of the M8 player over the M9 and even the M9 plus. Have you considered doing an M8 plus that has that very musical and a little darker sound profile. That way you have the 9+ for the reference sound and the M8+ for those of us who love the original darker Shanling house sound. What do you think? You can have another product in the flagship space but with a hint of Nostalgia. Anyway I love your products, and hoped to get a newer version with newer OS and UI but that same M8 sound. It’s still my favorite dap of all the flagships I own. Cheers from Italy
