Introducing Shanling EH1 - Compact Desktop DAC/AMP at just 199 USD

The trouble is that at this price the Fiio R2R has become the one to beat. There’s not a bad review out there. Watched Zeos’ one last night. At one point I thought he was going to throw away all his other gear…

Zeos tend to overhype things though..... I do have the K11 R2R and I also do think it's great, but throw away all the gear is probably exaggeration LOL.

There are better gear out there, the next upgrade is probably like 3x-4x the cost of K11 R2R.

But definitely do agree that K11 R2R is the price to beat at the current bracket ($160 USD), until you're in the $500-600 USD price range then there's better gear.

Where Shanling EH1 wins is that it has a built in hardware EQ for treble and bass. So depending on preference, people will have to trade R2R for EQ (also paying $40 USD more).

How does this compare to M1s - Sound quality wise? Im curious because i like my M1s for desktop use, but needed eq and a bit more power. @Shanling

You are getting significantly more advanced circuit with better power supply, EH1 sounds better than comparable portable players or Dongles we make.

I hope the EH2 has a similar aesthetic, and optical/coaxial input.

It will be following the same design, but a bit bigger.

And yes, we plan to add more digital inputs on EH2.

And hopefully the EH2 has also control dials for bass and treble (and perhaps middle) and bluetooth.....

Will there also be a LINE IN for a Vinyl Player or something Analog?

I guess if not I can use a Converter...

Any ETA for EH2? I am in the market for a DAC/AMP and I have to go for EH1, if there is no immediate announcement of EH2.

Before end of the year.

No plans for analog inputs.

I do believe the EH1 will sound better than K11 or R2R.
Ive heard the K11 already and i prefer the Fiio K5 Pro ESS, but my Shanling M1s sounds much better to my taste...
And they said EH1 will sound better than comparable mobile devices... M1s M1 Plus...
So my next purchase is a EH1!

Lol I think at this point it's probably up to preference / taste.

For example I really didn't like the FiiO K5 Pro, but I haven't heard any Shanling devices yet so you could be right lol.

K5 pro ess truly sounds not that impressive , even my Soundblaster AE5 has better sound.
