Just picked one up. I was able to change the time but couldn’t finalize the time change. What button acts like the “ok” button. I saw something about the “go” switch/button but I’m lost. Was able to slide for it to accept new time. Thanks all
Hi. Just went to check my mini. Set the time in System settings then swipe right from the left of the screen. That takes you to the prior page and the new time is retained. Hope that helps.
On paper this looked like dream come true device, but with no gapless playback it was sadly a non-starter for me.
I ended up ordering the ET3 yesterday, so I guess it is a win for Shanling, maybe this was part of some marketing scheme to push us to the EC3 or ET3 I'm super excited for the ET3, but would revisit this or a newer model in a heartbeat if the gapless issue didn't exist.
I agree. I don't find it a major issue, though I don't listen to a lot of classical music. Of course, they fixed it on ET3, I believe, so maybe they can do the same for it's little brother.

After looking at specs more thoroughly, it's not direct competition to EC Mini. No balanced output, no onboard screen for easy SD card playback, no BT options, and no RCA out.
It's literally the spiritual successor for the Sony Discman. Incidently, I purchased a NOS Discman from 1994 for playing gapless. Surprisingly, it has an excellent sound.
Good luck finding one. I haven't heard reviews of the sound.

Well, you only mentioned sound, not the other features, so I didn't think those matter. Regardless, if you consider the fact that the discdream is $160 cheaper, those extra features don't really matter much for purpose of sound comparison.

Okay, but it is important when comparing "for the price".
I will revise what I said for you. It is the best sounding portable CDP for the price and for the features that I have heard or have read reviews IMHO.

Very helpful review. The EC Mini has revived my love of CD’s. As someone who is no hardcore audiophile, the EC Mini is serving adequately as the center of my desk setup in my office/man cave.
