I recently play with the personalisation a bit.
While I find the result created by the wizard to be garbage, the option itself works fairly well to adjust the sound.
In my opinion better than with the simple 5 band EQ.
I have to fine tune it a bit but I’m already quite happy with the setting that I found.

I just ordered the SE version of these [is foldability the only change?] anyhow they were $50 cheaper so... I bit.

I don't have much experience with nice headphones, and you can see by my listed ones in my signature, I am wanting a GOOD wireless set specifically for enjoying music. The Sonys are mainly for movies, and the Tozo for taking walks because the bright red color helps with visibility. [MORE headphone manufacturers should be selling neon / high visibility headphones, PLEASE!] The Koss set is ok... but I want something over-ear for music.

The Momentum 4 will be my first Sennheiser product, and I have high hopes. Anyone have concerns or better recommendations for $200?

The SE edition is just like all other editions, none of them can be folded (like it was still the case with the M3 e.g.) Only the colour (the copper part) is different on that edition.

Imo, there are not many, if at all, better wireless sets around at the 200€/$ price point.

They'd better fold lol. The Amazon listing has "lightweight folding design" in the NAME of the product for the SE models... if you switch to a non-SE one [like a white model] that "foldable" descriptor goes away. Also, Rufus claims they ARE foldable. And we know AI is never wrong! haha. Not a huge deal if they don't, but they were 50$ cheaper than the non-SE so that leads me to be believe they might have a cheaper build with a folding option? who knows.

I HAVE the M4 Copper SE. They don’t fold :)

You can only lay them flat in their case but that applies to all M4 variants. None of them are special or different from each other. It’s just different colours.

weird. Why would Amazon false advertise, and why would the SE be 50$ cheaper?! Anyhow, I don't really care if they fold or not... All that matters is comfort and sound quality.

Thank you for joining the Sennheiser family! MOMENTUM 4 does quite a bit, including sound personalization, which can adjust its tuning based on your preferences... they can be a bit of a chameleon for your listening tasks. Enjoy!

Prices fluctuate a lot. The „SE“ has been discounted often already but so have other colours as well.

This is how they „fold“:

I personally really like them at this price. They have just okay ANC but the sound is solid for that price.
Compared to all the other wireless ANC headphones I think these are very reasonably priced.

I'm signed up to Sennheiser Explorer, they've just sent a newsletter & first thing they ask, is how we feel about a Parametric equalizer.. could be interesting updates in the works.

These received a new app, in which you can fully turn off the ANC. This also drastically alters the sound, making them sound a lot more neutral, with less sub-bass, to my hears. I really need someone to measure these with the ANC OFF.

A few things became obvious with ANC off: the soundstage is really really small and the passive isolation is amazing, imo.

Why do you need someone to measure them, to confirm what you are hearing? If it's to your liking, what's a measurement matter??
