Hi Mate,

Just in case you missed my posts above....link provided...you can get a very similar looking case to dignis, quality is as good and you can choose color and style of leather you want...I'm very happy with what I have received......no issues there... I'm suggesting this because it's very hard to get dignis for LPG now....

You will lucky if someone has spare and willing to sell...good luck!

Yeah, i saw it! I just dont like the bumper style it has...

I saw the Dignis are difficult to get outside Japan, lets see

Thank you!!

Guys need help with deciding on new IEMs.

Anyone has Andromeda's here as I am very tempted and the only thing holding me back is its high sensitivity.

Question: Is Andromeda's a good match with LPG and does it hiss on low gain setting?

thanks

As it was mentioned in the reply to your question in Andromeda thread, check out my review (the link is in my signature)

The sound analysis was done using LPG, though to be honest after the latest Opus fw update - Opus#1 sounds almost the same as LPG.

thank God that you said almost...i don't think that a Dap with a cirrus logic can sound the same has a BB i am not saying that is better or worse but not the "same" , tell me something the Fw update of the opus made the jitter go from 50 to 5?

If you are choosing your DAP based on a jitter spec or some other measurements which don't involve the actual listening with high res files and TOTL high res monitors, then go by the numbers
wink.gif
Of course my opinion is subjective and based purely on my ears and extended review experience of products sent to me by manufacturer for testing and comparison.  BB is legendary, no doubt about it, but you have both LPG and X5ii rocking 1792 and one is summit-fi while the other one is mid-fi.  The same dac with a quite different dap performance because of amplifier stage, analog/digital circuit partitioning, power filtering, layout, and selection of other components.  I love both of these DAPs, and if anybody noticed - I keep flipping them in my sig, fighting for the top spot.  Or, and if we are talking about best BB implementation, Micro iDSD beats them all
wink.gif

The bigger question here, has LPG been discontinued completely or what's going on?  I haven't been able to get in touch with my Lotoo contacts/reps, Dignis decided not to make any more cases, their official US Amazon store/seller no longer lists any new units, and even Ken dumped it from ALO website.  If you ask me, and it's just my guess, I think they are done with a current model production and perhaps ready to surprise us with <wishful thinking> something new </wishful thinking> ?

no i'm not choosing a Dap based on the jitter performance or measure , i just made you a question , but if you think that the jitter or lack of it is a not a important factor for a acurate music reproduction i have to say that you are wrong,if the Lotto has stoped the production is great i don't mind , i allready have one:)maybe the Paw Gold will be the next Tera Player:))

Did I say it was not an important factor?  Or are you reading between the lines?

What I said is that I judge the products I review based on the analysis while listening with my ears.  If you want to read the actual measurements, you are welcome to visit Nathan's page to enlighten yourself about measured Opus#1 performance here.  If you would like to discuss it further, lets take it to Opus thread without hjacking this thread

There was a "special edition" LPG mentioned some time ago on a website, but what's telling is the current price on Amazon for a new Lotoo Paw Gold: $5,535.53.

I was told by few of the fellow DAP enthusiast that Lotoo was showing there upcoming LPG amplifier companion that they like to release in a near future to a selected individuals. I have no formal contact with Lotoo so i cannot verify this, I know there are few members on here who have a more closure relation to Lotoo, if those members are reading can you guys please verify for us whether those rumours are true?

It's a trick they use on Amazon, raising the price when stock is low or all gone since nobody in their right mind would buy it at 2.5x the price

Thanks Twister,

Great review on andromeda's.....so as I suspected there is little hiss with LPG.. I'd better wait and demo myself to see if it bothers me....thanks again...
