I've got a P6 Pro demo unit for a few weeks, wondering if there is a newer firmware for it than 1.0.0.7 ?

Question for LP P6 Pro users, is there any way to affect how it imports music into it’s database? It seems to recognise Artist & Album ok, but not Track names. All I get when I browse an Album is a list of file names, sometimes in correct order, sometimes in reverse. Problem is the screen is so small it can be hard to tell…

If you do a search on the thread with the word “sort“ you will find a solution for Mac as well as one for Windows environment. As for the FW, MusicTeck has the FW under support. :)

I dont think even the LP market is ready for E7 and LP7 release at the same time. The price gap between them is narrow enough for them to be competing with one another.

Not so sure about the narrow price gap between the E7 and LP7. :)

Can the LP6 take a 1.5TB SD card? Does it have a limit on the amount of files? Thanks anyone.

Thanks, so I’ve got to use a 3rd party tool so that this $3899 DAP will display my music correctly? 🤭

Also, am I then still stuck with file names, just sorted alphabetically? What I’m really after is the Track names that exist in the meta data, like my A&K and HiBy players do.

And yes, I found that firmware file , but it doesn’t say what version it is, no point futzing around if its the same 1.0.0.7 I already have.

LOL, the joys and sorrows of L&P!!!

I just checked my P6Pro and it's FW v1.0.1.1, so there's a new one for you.

Awesome thanks!

It really does sound amazing, especially for something that is small and light enough to be easily pocketable.

Agreed, an often understated perk of this TOTL player is the size and weight especially compared to the other TOTLs from everyone else.

At the end of the day, LP DAPs are not for the faint hearted. But it will appeal to those who are in pursuit of sonic bliss. And, yes, the easily pocketable form factor of the P6P cannot be beat. In respect of the UI issues, fingers crossed that the new OS will resolve them. :)

I agree with Kiats. I don't listen to my LP6 Gold that often, maybe once a week, but when I do, it is until the battery ends.
I think of LP6 gold as digital vinyl, meaning it sounds amazing, but just like Vinyl it requires certain level of dedication and patience.
