At the end of the day, LP DAPs are not for the faint hearted. But it will appeal to those who are in pursuit of sonic bliss. And, yes, the easily pocketable form factor of the P6P cannot be beat. In respect of the UI issues, fingers crossed that the new OS will resolve them. :)
Hmmm, so I finally got around to trying out that 'sort' script... but it seems to rely on a naming convention that has the track number as the first couple characters of the file name. Which is not how anything I've bought from Bandcamp and HD Tracks names the files.

So if I really care enough I can go back and rename... all of those files... Or just listen to those albums in reverse order... 🤦‍♂️

The thing I don't quite get is the P6 Pro must be reading file metadata to organise by Album and Artist, so why not track numbers? Strange..

Brought my LP6 Ti AE and the Obsidian P6Pro to meet some members of head fi who flew into Singapore for Can Jam SG. Suffice it to be say, they were impressed by the LP6 Ti AE. I sometimes forget how good it is. :) Anyway, took it out with the FitEar DC Ti/Socrates 8 for a evening of listening

Yes, hopefully. Gapless playback requires more resources since, from what I understand, during a regular playback in parallel you also have to read/buffer ahead to find that "gap" and skip it. Up until now, most L&P daps were all about optimized single thread performance, but it is changing. P6 Pro finally introduced touch swiping fast forward/back (coming out of the cave age) and LP6 has a custom eq :)
I thought I was going crazy in the first few days I’ve had the P6 Pro, the very audible ‘pop’ between tracks is very distracting. I was hoping a firmware update would fix this, but after doing the update it is still there.

From how you explain how the P6Pro software works, this may not ever be possible?

I have a folder on my SD card with about 1500 songs in it and I access it via "directory mode". The player mistakenly reads that there are over 3K files in the folder when I play it on random and I often get a "file error" warning as it skips to the next track. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Somethign with my files maybe?
