It seems to have addressed it. But now the low gain setting has a static-y sound and I am stuck using only high gain until the real firmware release. :frowning2:
What about tags works now? Sucks about the static.

Actually no I was wrong. Before the beta upgrade my album folders did not show the correct tracks per album, now they do, but other tagging issues remain such as album tracks in the wrong order.
Must be my work flow from CD rip on Apple to ALAC, the songs all start with a number; 01, 02, 03... if it is a multi disc album than 1-01, 1-02, ... 2-01, ... because of this the album order is correct. It is an alphanumerical listing by track file name.

Any word on the firmware release date?

Checking with the Musicteck I heard LP is still cooking to finalize the version. Hope LP can addresses some of the critical issues including the file sorting, 1TB SD support, initial Balance LO volume peak, high volume output on sensitive IEM issues, etc. Personally I would like to have a custom EQ but that may too much to ask...:)

Just asked about the new firmware. This is the reply as of Tuesday the 6th of 2021. Just be patient.

So what does the reply say? 👀
Found out yesterday still beta testing in China and we need to be patient. May be fixing the song sorting issue.

Yes, this was special order which wasn't cheap. You could go with the 2-wire to make it cheaper but was around 500 bucks.
The Hiby impedance adapter is only about 30 bucks so you may want to give it a shot first.
How adjustable is it? I'm looking for better one than the Hiby, it's not quite enough for some of my sensitive IEMs.

You have the adjustable dials to control the level of attenuation (L/R) so no attenuation to extreme level. You will definitely feel the differences by the settings you choose.
I heard L&P will come up a new firmware to fix the high volume output issue shortly, so if that was the only concern, you may want to wait until they release the new firmware. As for me, this adapter also neutralize the thickness and bloatedness so I will keep on using it regardless.

A P6 Pro FW Update preview from LP's CEO Mr. Wan. The FW will be released very soon (in these two weeks I believe). The video is in Chinese. There will be four major updates:
  • Add a Traillii-tuned EQ to P6 Pro.
  • Add the double-click-to-wake-screen function.
  • Fix the issue of having too much output power even at a very low volume.
  • Support more music file formats, or better support the decoding of existing file formats.

P6 Pro new FW has been released. The contents are exactly as what have been previewed earlier.
