P6 Pro is the best sounding DAP I have ever heard. Tonality it is similar to 1Z but going further in nearly every aspects. It has an absolute dark background so that every note is presented very clearly with amazing layering, but at the same time with a powerful output and very good dynamic and energy. Resolution and soundstage are amazingly realistic while the presentation is neutral and uncoloured. What making it a special DAP is the natural, smooth and analogue sound. You may read the P6 review of @twister6 for the comparison with 1Z.

I have recently disposed my long loved 1Z but still keeping the Romi BG modded 1A. :dt880smile:

For LPGT Ti, the sound is very exciting with sparkles at both low and high. Resolution is amazing with every notes outlined clearly but not fatiquing. In geveral I listen Ti for Jazz / pop while P6 Pro for classical and vocal. Strangely that I tend to listen to Ti in daytime and P6 Pro at night. Below is a review in Hong Kong and I attach the google translated URL if you are interested:

For the New R6, it is perfect for me as a player on the go and for streaming online / from my music server. The UI is fast and responsive with astonished sound, simply a bang for buck.

Thanks for the impressions , poor wm1z is getting to old now and new offerings start to push it away. The P6 Pro looks very attractive, but hence I dont see my self owning so many daps  I need one and the best I was eying that P6 Pro seems very attractive especially for a wm1z lover like me :) For now I am with M8 and thinking to snag the upcoming M30 I think it will be a super interesting transportable desktop unit. But that p6 Pro is waving at me hehe he wants me to try it :boom::stuck_out_tongue:

Tiger, let's give P6 Pro a try if you are looking for one and only one DAP. I am sure it is the one for you, if you do not mind the lacking of streaming function as well as the buggy O/S such as the occasional indexing issues. Soundwise it is unmatchable.

Yes you can Bluetooth stream to the P6 Pro it is the best sounding dap I have heard. Mine is 120 hours into the burn in. Could get even better. So far best pairing is with balanced armature based IEMs like U12T and Traillii, both awesome with this dap.

how would you describe the sound? I personally didnt like the Lp6 titanium was too mellow for me and sounded like old fashion tuning. @twister6 swares the new P6 Pro is the good stuff even over wm1z. I like fun sound and warmish with very organic textures.
I can only imagine this dap need at least 500hours of burn in as it has so many little components inside its r2r and that is probably taking more time to burn in threw.

Did someone say P6 Pro and Traillii? :D

Had Traillii on loan again before it went to @aaf evo , but managed to snap this picture because I really like the color match, and of course the pair up synergy!

I noticed more change from burn in with the P6 I had for a couple months prior. But then again not close to 300 hours yet which is the number that seems adequate to me. The sound Alex described in his P6 review, really well. And the extra he added briefly to that review comparing to the LP6 and P6 I agree with and felt the same. I did not spend much time with the LP6 so no real comment there. The sound and design of the P6 I really like, I like the Pro P6 about 5 percent more on the sound front. Hearing more clarity same warmth and same analog quality. I really appreciate that it does not get very warm at all. Stays cooler than others I have tried.
Yep expensive pair, money has to not matter much, run the risk that will bother you so much you cannot enjoy. Reminds me of my life with Leica, photography is really fun with an M but the price of entry is crazy if you dwell on that.

I just got P6 Pro today. I inserted the Sandisk 512GB card that I have been using on P6.
After updating library, I noticed that the song list is jumbled among multiple albums (I used Album mode).
For example, the songs on album A appears on album B while the contents of album B appears on album C, and so on.
The albums starting with A and B are not affected. This card was working perfectly on P6.
Does any one encounter this problem on P6 Pro?

I have experienced the same issue and discovered the following workaround:

(1) Select Album Mode
(2) Turn the wheel UPWARD until it goes to the last item of the album view (make sure that you enable the wheel for menu browsing)
(3) You can then browse the albums normally by touch screen or the wheel without wrong indexing

I think it can only be fixed by firmware update...............

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a LP6 Gold (on New Year’s Eve! I guess I didn’t want this year to finish on a bitter taste! :D). I was almost gonna go for the LPGT Ti that I tried several times and like a lot, but before committing I wanted to be sure. So I went to the shop to try out the P6 Pro but they didn’t have it on demo yet. Then I saw they had the LP6 for demo. I really wasn’t considering it at all, but after having listened several times to P6 in the recent days I thought : “why not giving it a try”. Oh boy! What an inspired idea it was! Well... Not for my wallet obviously :D, but I must say that I’m blown away by the SQ I’m getting when paired with the LCD i4. The most obvious difference with other TOTL DAPs I’ve tried (P6, LPGT Ti, DX220 Max, N8, SP 2000,...) is the bass quality. The impact and tightness is just nuts! The i4s are somewhat tricky to get the visceral bass impact sometimes but when paired correctly they surely provide. I’m not sure why LP6 provides such better bass than the others with the i4, because DX220 Max is even more powerful, so it doesn’t seem to be only a matter of driving power. P6 was also nice on the bass aspect, but it felt more like an increase in bass quantity rather than tightness/impact/quality. On LP6 it never feels unbalanced or overpowering the other frequencies. It just feels right! That must be the most musical yet impressively technical DAP I’ve got to listen to. I also found the staging to be even more holographic than the others with stunning sense of air and separation. When listening to well recorded track, especially live music, it really gives the sensation to be there! That’s the closest to high end speakers experience that I‘ve witnessed with a portable setup. :)

Also, I’d like to ask a question you might be able to answer. On the LP6 menu, in system settings, audio output settings, the last option is “sound style”. What is it supposed to do? I only have one choice which is “default mode”.

BTW, do you have any idea how long the burn in should be on this device? I’m currently at about 72h. The trebles seem to get a little smoother.

Thank you and happy new year! ;)

That's for some specific IEMs and/or HPs.
Currently, there is only one "style" you can install, which is for JVC FW10000.

If you have FW10k, download DSPconfig file from:

Glad that it works for you as well.
Sometimes really being upset on such buggy OS, but the sound is simply irresistible.
