...dude... Really? There's no sound whatsoever? What are the chances that all the drivers would die? That sounds highly unlikely. Maybe it's a crossover issue? Hopefully it's nothing and the problem clears up

Just so I am understanding right, when Fisher tells me that my tweeter pack died, they are referring to the treble drivers right?

Wow, just got my refit back and o my, the side that got fixed feels so natural compared to the side that i thought fitted well.

No pain after 6 hours of listening, i guess i will not bicker too much about them, since the problems I identified was fixed.

Yep, probably both of them.  ES5 has dual highs, dual mids, and single low right?  I'm guessing the dual highs are in one little box..

Okay, I thought as much. The one thing I absolutely don't want to be affected in any way whatsoever is the mids (obviously) since that is the bread and butter of Westone's sound.

okay well I sent my ES5 back into fisher. Kaysen said it could be a myriad of things - driver damage is possible but unlikely IMO because they don't tend to die instantly. I'm guessing it is probably a wire of some sort either shorted or came loose. I hope 1) they can fix it, and 2) they can get it back to me in time. I graduate and leave for China on May 31st. After that, I'll be moving so my address is going to change!

Very cool looking. Nice design. And congrats on getting the fit you were hoping for.

What cables are those? I would like a set of angled plugs like those, but the ones I was looking at - the Logitech/UE (post 9/1/2010) uses a socket that Fisher doesn't do...

So my order finally shows up in the UPS Database EXCEPT its marked as Second Day Air instead of Overnight like I wanted :l My phones keep getting delayed for inexplicable reasons... and thus the curse continues :l

Hmm, well I did ask Kaysen a couple months ago, and she replied that they do not use that cable. It uses a recessed plug, so I don't see how that would work.

My parents are in Shanghai, so I'm heading back to see them for a few months before starting med school :).

@Idsynchrono, oh no! That's not good. Oh well, one more day isn't going to kill you, though if you paid for O/N shipping and they mailed it to you 2nd day...
