 now I have some 96%tin 4% silver solder, the cables are cut,twisted, and tinned.   My biggest problem is finding a way to get the microphone I want, and  have the ability to answer calls when I want to.

I have a pair of broken shell Westone 2's lying around, but fully functioning and a Westone 3. What do you guys think about me combing those drivers? Will they do it? What do you think about the sound? Worth a try?

Anyone know what the P850 sounds like? Is it comparable to a JH16? I like the descriptions I've read of the JH16 in that it is relatively balanced with a slight emphasis on the lower end, just to give it a little more impact without making it overly bassy. Is this something I could expect from the P850? Please quote this post if you reply so I'll receive an email.

There are so many variations on the 8 BA driver scheme that to expect that an 8 driver CIEM from a different manufacturer will sound similar to another company's 8 driver wishful thinking.
 
I have three 8BA CIEMs - and they are all quite different - I would perhaps contact Kaysen at Inearz and ask what signature they are shooting for with the 850 as there are not a lot of reviews available.

The canals might turn yellow over time due to earwax.

What if they aren't clear? Also, can you simply clean them or is the color more permanent?

The clear ones might if you expose them to UV a lot.
