Request for help. I paired my SE100 with the Noble Kaiser 10 + moon audio silver cable on balanced mode. I cannot express my disappointment. I have a great mid-section with unbearable highs and non-existent bass. I wonder if they are the ear tips, or the fact that both pieces of equipment required a burn in period or what. I’m confused.
My AK70 with shure SE535 sounds better than the pair mentioned above. Any feedback?
Thank you very much.

Well I had the se100 for a while, and there was no lack of bass or treble, very smooth and detailed. I was so blown away, I returned it and upgraded to the 1000M which should arrive this week. I cannot speak to the Noble Kaisers, I never heard them.

I have learned ear tips have a subtle but profound effect on sound. What tips are you using? I have found the silicon spintips to be my favorites, but I also use the Shure yellow foams on occasion, or Comply foams, or MandarinES, which are excellent!

Hello. I have a question: With the AK SE 100 and Campfire Androemeda would it be better to go with a balanced output and cord or with the singel ended? The Andromeda dont need much of power. But are there benefits to go with balnaced ?
Thanks Andy

Absolutley! It is a 'cleaner' sound; the sound stage if more focused, instrument placement is more precise. In short, more and better of everything. Add in a nice after market cable like the ALO silver Litz, and you will never go back to unbalanced.

It's been a while, I have the Andromeda SS now and the Beyerdynamic Xelentos and I've been using Comply Ts-400 exclusively.

Very smooth and detailed. It sounds so amazing I want more! If it is so good, I can only wonder what the sp1000m is like...
Now you have the SP1000M don't you miss the SE100? When I compared them to each other I liked the SE100 better by quite a bit...

No. I figured that for lower tier headphones or IEM's the se100 may have a more 'obvious' appeal, but the 1000M is smoother and richer and more subtle: this comes through with better iem's, I think and higher quality recordings, where the SE100 starts to breakdown. The 1000M has more ability to reveal nuances and details that would be lost on the se100. Does that make sense?
