... Does that make sense?
If you heard it that way - yes. Though I doubt the SE100 starts to breakdown with high quality recordings.

I used various HighRes files during my session (Holly Cole, Bill Evans, Dusty Springfield, Elton John as well as a some classical, mostly Bach recordings and a few R&B and Electronic stuff) and to me the SE100 sounded better with almost all of it. More detail, more clarity, more engagement without being harsh or 'digital'.

Must be the difference between the two DACs and the lesser jitter on the SE100 since the amplifier section of the SE100 is said to be identical to that (highly praised) in the SP1000...

But keep in mind that I had never heard an AK449xx DAC/DAP before. Only had an iBasso DX90 and a Mojo to date.

Perhaps the word "break down" is wrong; Perhaps I should say that the 1000M sounded "smoother". I didn't notice it so much on the SE846's, But I did on the Andromeda SS's. I will say that overall the 1000M is a "richer, smoother" sound, but certainly not by "leaps and bounds".

To say the Se100 sounds "way better" than the SR15 is a huge over-statement!

Ah, too bad the association power of the word norma is significantly less than that of normie.
They should have called it a&homie, like, Ma Lil' homeboy.

after 24 hours of burn in. I noticed a great improvement in treble response, soundstage and layering. Bass is deeper.
Usually i suggest 24/48 hours of burn-in.
I reviewed ak kann and this se100 is a great improvement over it.
I have noticed the same. Going to do 100hrs anyways.

I have the KANN Cube which is the same thing as SE100.
