I have seen their shop and really considering visiting it.Ive been using DX200 for some time now. Once I found the right Amp module for me, I couldn't be happier. Very much the reference DAP it claims to be.
I love a well tuned Sabre DAC chip. By all accounts the DX220 is a bit better so go for it !
I think you may be able to demo one at http://www.hifiheadphones.co.uk/ They are only 40 minutes or so outside of London? Not too far away anyway
Very impressed with the soundstage and separation of these. I did wonder if they could match the R2 as they are not as open backed but I think due to the detail these outperform the R2's here.
I had plans tonight but I'm just gonna listen to these all night. Absolutely loving them.

The only sabre i have listened to is v30 i had before. But that isnt dap obviously. I just liked the musicality quite a bit. if is something similar just refined and better technically in SQ i would definately go for it.
Did you try it with amp8?
I'm on the West Coast of Canada and my last shipment from IMR was here in 6 days. My Cupids came in from London via the same RM service in 5 days so I'd say we're both in a good position to have them late next week. They've still got the weekend to travel and a few business days to get through customs. My Rah's are finally accepted at the post office and are now being "prepared by Sender" so they"LL hopefully be leaving the UK soon. I think for the R2 it did take exactly a week to arrive like someone else mentioned, so looks like us US purchasers will have them before Christmas luckily
I was thinking halcyon because I really don’t wish to spend semper money.
I’m loving the Rah because they sound so much more alive than previous models. If electrostat adds more then I’m in for the semper.
Would it be fair to say a planar adds detail to the lower to mid octaves and an electrostat adds more detail to mid to upper octaves, the DD gives the weight and body and the ceramic, hmmm I’m not sure what words to use to describe what it adds but you catch my drift.
As another poster mentioned and which you elude to too, I can easily not upgrade and be fully content for a long time, but I was going semper it’s £100 per month approx from now minus discount so like £70 per month without fully working it out in detail.
I was big into car audio for years and I was never truly satisfied and from that I’ve learnt to enjoy the hobby now and not chase those fractions. So the Rah is end game for me........until semper lol, they all have a purpose.
Just tried my RAH this evening after a late finish at work.
Straight out of the box with black/black, plugged into the Ifi Audio Idsd black label Dac and so far they sound very very good.
If my old RHA CL2 are anything to go by then the planer will need around 150-200 hours before it really starts singing.
Both the Tin P1 and the oBravo Cupid came "alive" after 100+ hours. So, these early reports are very encouraging seeing as there's nowhere near that and they are being praised so positively. If my old RHA CL2 are anything to go by then the planer will need around 150-200 hours before it really starts singing.
