Folks, I am in love. Everything burned in, as far as I can tell, listening to Debussy DSDs with the pink/ pink filters/ tips and Dekoni Mercury tips off my Mojo. Just absolute heaven, like my head is inside a Bosendorfer. Gorgeous.

Incidentally, if you want a good track for chasing cues, check out Amber Rubarth's Don't You off of Sessions From the 17th Ward, especially the binaural DSD. Just... WOW.

Really, anything off this album will do- it's exceptionally recorded.

Mine came in today, my initial impression is muddy. I'm not a believer in burn in but we'll give it a whirl to see what happens.

which filters are you using?

Black lower filter has too much bass.

I'd drop down to red filters, and if it's still too much, try pink filters. I'm not a big bass fan when it's so much it overwhelms the rest of a balanced recording. The standard black filters were WAY too much for me off the bat, and still are. That's just not the music I listen to.

As I mentioned a few posts back, pink / pink are to die for on well recorded classical after burn-in. Just make sure you're getting a good seal.

+1 Stock setting (black/black) is none of my liking. I am still burning mine in, but so far either red (punchier) or pink (more neutral) lower filters and either green or blue tips seem to be the setup I will be using.

I think i'm around 50hrs of burn in now

pink/green filters:
treble has settled and is no longer sibilant.

I'm really enjoying the R2 :ok_hand::clap:

Following your pink/pink suggestion, I'm listening to Haendel's Wasswermusik, pure bliss!

The way that setup handles orchestral is stunning. I feel like I'm on the stand with that recording. Unreal.

And this is just using a good but not top level player (Cayin N5II). On Monday I shall receive a Lotoo Paw Gold Touch, that should up the game a bit. The balanced 4.4 cable is ready!
